Proto comes out to play, clones die, newbies or low sp peeps get slaughtered. Stuff gets spammed. Initial push to retake point with proto/officer stuff either fails or happens. At this point one team will get red lined and then rail tanks and snipers appear. If the game wasn't already making you bored by this point avoiding snipers/tanks and finding kills does. It's like Groundhog Day on domination and the fact that even if you play it you can occasionally get 1 good match a day doesn't say a lot for the mode or players. Sure, I run around the point and it's surroundings searching for things to kill, but that's not camping. staying near the point, even if you are moving around it is still camping. You aren't leaving the objective so you are technically camping. If you can't be bothered to move from point to point that's your problem, but I, and probably many others, hate playing in a game mode that is a redline battle where nothing happens cos your team either leaves or stomps the others into leaving. It is a rare scenario that a dom doesn't end up being like this. Wanna play eve?

You said you gave that a try but you are just a single grain of rice. It takes more than a few here and there every now and then. It takes people sticking with it and it takes some people going first and waiting a while to see results. That's why meaningful change is so hard, nobody wants to go first and so nobody goes at all. A lot of people don't like dom, it's a sentiment many more people on the forums have shared; It's one of the more common opinions around here and in game. Now you might think I'm making an argument for removing it but I'm actually going to be redundant and say there's a lot of you, if all you people kept it unchecked it'd be a hell of a lot easier to get into other game modes. But no it's just easier to try to punish others because you're too impatient to wait a little extra longer to get into a match. So you keep on playing dom even though you don't like it because in the immortal word of Red.... Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks. Conclusion : shut down the Euro server because most of us like to be scrubs in Domination. Ambush is just one sided slaughter and spawn camping, skirmish is running around and a solo player is helpless to change anything and most people play solo. No a solo player is not helpless in skirmish, you just have to think strategically. If the objective is in an area that doesn't favor your weapon, wait for teammates to assault it with you. If you can see you are outnumbered, run. Go for secondary objectives(crus) to lay down the foundation for a team assault. If you feel useless you aren't trying. you ever get to that point where you know you should sleep, but ya just...dont? yeah...me too.

Dom is quite popular there is no denying that even with how many people do hate it. Removing dom could be the last straw for many of these players and they very well could leave. Maybe the other modes won't time out anymore but it'd still take forever to find a match if that happened. Just spread the word to everybody that doesn't want to play dom, don't queue for it & don't be in squads that run it and eventually you'll have enough people for decent searches. Which of course I don't have the same problems as you guys, it still takes less time to get in the other modes than it does FW for me. Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks. Dust really needs its high sec.

We ran onto the American server last night and fought ambush & acquisition. It was hard but damn good fun. You raise some interesting points about Domination but how many people are running it because they can't get another game mode ? also how many want to go to a server out of there own region to play the game as well as deal with the other issues that arise from it. Not to mention how easy it is to get SP when you logi it up. I do prefer Skirmish and Acquisition over Domination, though. They're much more laid back and require more of a team effort to win. Domination is generally 'hold R1 and occasionally tap L1, repeat until win or loss'. The thought that Dust 514 may one day be the game we dreamed it to be. It fills you with Determination!
