I have some officer gear and I would like to try it sometime but it is pretty wrong to use it in pubs
For factional warfare I help my team more by hacking unguarded objectives or keeping more than one opponent at an objective, officer gear does not really help me do that.
I don't want to sell it, I actually like earning money myself.
Does anyone share my dilemma? Anyone have a solution, I was thinking of spamming it an a Acquisition bloodbath, that way people get a high payout. |

Let this old cat spin a tale for you.
A time seemingly not long ago.
Deadcatz had two officer rattatis dropsuits.
Just finished respect and a paid one,not this free shart.
Quick as a fiddle my fingers twittled on the control,
Constructing a fit that I would kill noobs with,
Yet,
Oddly i never deployed it,
Then a night further away from.that one,
It was late night,matches were ebbing
Corpmates were antsy,eager for blood,
Soon a qsync came under way,
We'd let lady luck decide,
2 fire teams,work together or fight a bitter battle,
Lady luck chose the latter,
2 squads of true tea baggers,against each other.
And that was when kitty decided to go ballin'
Deployed,in a puke green suit,weilding twin rifles,
Experimental, both breach and assault.
And that match kitty proceeded to stomp the sh!t out of his corp going flawless because he only had two rattatis and two of each type of experimental assault rifle.
Then I sold the rattatis to some lighting delta dude. Only used once.
Ha!You can't kill me! I'm already dead!

Duuuude USE IT. no one is putting a gun to your head. You have rightfully teamed the skills to use it and you can pull it when you want. No one can make you otherwise. It is not wrong to use it pubs because it's not wrong to use anywhere. That's why it's in the game. Don't let anyone tell you crap that you're killing the game. CCP is because of their match making. You as the player have every right to use what you feel like using at any moment.
So go use it.

Yeah i feel it a little. Bought a Frames ck.O the minute (bought as in a nice dude gave me one on the house due to good business, and i only asked for one) duplicated it, made a couple awesome fits, set it to favorite, never used it. Set it up with a shotty, RR, and black eagle AR, or switch RR for sniper so I'd have all ranges available simultaneously.
I know if i run it I'll die to something stupid like a sniper commando ck.o that only snipes in the redline or something. Speaking of which, looking to purchase APEX Calmando & APEX Galmando. Just sayin.
What am i waiting for? Something to be easy even though i know better. I should stop waiting huh?

There's nothing wrong with officer gear in pubs. What's wrong with pubs isn't people using officer gear - they're simply public contracts, and you should be able to use whatever you want. The problem with pubs is the matching - noobs are finding themselves in pubs with elite running officer and proto gear.
I'm personally sick of being stomped in pubs by elite fighters in officer and proto gear. But there's no good reason why they shouldn't be able to use it. And when the time comes, I think I will also. |

For me, using officer gear is something I really want to do, however because I main a Gal Sent, the only officer gear I can use is either the Gatsun MIN-7 HMG or the Alex Modified HMG, and I usually only use them in PC, very rarely do I bust them out in a pub or FW.
Sure I can use my Balacs and Krin's AR on my Gal Assault, but I usually give those to my corp mates.
I would suggest that if you want to do an officer stomp, squad up with other people. Losing a proto suit is expensive, losing officer gear breaks the bank.

I think you should just have a good time however you see fit. Don't feel bad about using your fancy gear in pubs, everyone else does what they like around here so you might as well too.  It's just the way it goes.

I would argue that nannies are a vital part of the dust player base. We make the game more pleasant for newbs,casual gamers and
KDR whores, As for people looking for a challenge that is what FW and PC are for.

I use 'Quafe' Weaponry so long as no one kills me with anything higher than Advanced Gear or I feel the person running Proto is only doing so to counter Protostompers on my team. Usually though if someone kills me with Proto I will whip out Proto/Experimental/Officer Weapons to use against them.
Except for FW where I pretty much run Experimental/Officer Gear regardless of what the redberries are running. |

If you want to use it, then use it. But remember, when it runs out, you will be back to being cannon fodder. so pad your kDR while you still can, that is what the game is all about after all.

Padding is why I don't want to use them
I almost killed this officer gal (99.9% circumstances and luck) and he just ran away and quit the game because it was not working out for him, |
