I has question. The scrambler rifle in that form(those stats) was so op how,that CCP turned it into the shartpile it is today?

Yes. First of all the clip nerf in 1.8 then the charge shot nerf we have today.

Throwback to when the scrambler rifle came out! I still remember that very day! I skilled it like a few weeks after it came out and I had a lot of trouble with it but I got used to it.

do you remember being death touched at 140m away through rocks by viziams?
what about running down a hallway and having a merc drop on you and dump a whole swarm launcher clip into your feet
i miss getting kills with the hmg at 80m
back in the day where being grazed by a lav going mid speed auto killed you and lavs barrel rolled across full squads of stb

The various Sharpshooter skills were such cancer for the game play with the limitations of the gameplay at the time.
You really needed someone to tell you how important those skills were very early on or the game seemed like a cluster f.
I miss the old laser as a user, it was not cool to play against in ambush on old manus when you had to deal with tanks. Sitting on the table top and catching a squad slipping with a fully heated viziam was too much fun though.

1.8? I think I was playing slightly before that. I remember being able to use a scrambler rifle with only one point in its operation. On any suit. Without overheating as fast as it does today.
Someone give me tactical scrambler rifle,no charge,less heat,less damage but a huge clip and spam ability. Miss being a newb sometimes.
