I would like to know about using Eve Online Accounts on DUST514.
When the Eve players got their invites, did they link their Eve account to the DUST PSN account?
I have an old inactive account, which I used to play on and off a while ago. It would help me get some extra points to join corporations if I was able to confirm it was really mine, I know there's some paranoia about the spying meta game and I would love to be able to join a well coordinated corporation. |

No, the beta sign up for DUST did not ask or allow any interaction between my EVE account and my PlayStation acct.
Thus far, as much as I've experienced, there is no interaction between the two accounts. |

I'd like to bring this topic back up, but request that if you have an EVE account, you be able to associate your PSN account with it. It would be cool to be able to play EVE and DUST and have your accounts linked. It would bring a different feel to the game, especially if you were to do that and you could link your ground pounders into your corp essentially be able to play the game on both fronts and have it effect what you are doing on both sides of the game.

If it were to go anywhere you would need to specify what you mean by "linking". like features, how it would work etc... Just saying linking doesn't really say much.
Example. are you referring to linking the two accounts online like having eve gate also access dust info like a dusty eve gate :) or you pretend your dust merc is part of your eve capt crew and in eve when someone views your info they can see your dust char info as well.
or in dust when you view a char it can show in information fields, family like brother or sister or spouse and thats your eve/dust char
Just saying please explain what you see as "linked" because the word alone means nothing other then a relationship. without ideas and details the devs can't do a thing. |

Sorry for dragging a old thread up. I was thinking this myself. But here is my thoughts on it. I would like to see my dust account linked to my eve account so I can see both in eve gate. Also it would be nice to be able to manage both accounts from a single log in like you can with say Diablo 3 and WoW which are now controlled under a single battle.net login. |

It would be convenient, but then again given what happen to Sony during the hacking incident, I wouldn't want my Eve account linked to the PSN. |

Hmmm true... Maybe then migrating the dust account into a unified eve account and scrapping the psn stuff? |

I agree with Tosch. I enjoy my ananimity. I'm sure that CCP keeps tabs on the EVE accounts that r playing dust. I was lucky enough that one of my alt accounts got an invite in April. My main account received one in April too. I never used it though. It is just sitting there in my email.-á |

Agreed. I have 4 accounts in Eve in part to keep my activities separate and so people in game don't know what nefarious plots I am involved in. I want the same to be true in Dust.
Yes, I'm one of these evil piratey steal all the money and women and manipulate and destroy while at the same time mission and mine kind of guys. Can't let these different activities mingle. Oh no, that would be... unfortunate. |

While the accounts themselves are not linked, the names have to be unique. I tried creating a character in LIVE eve with same name as DUST and it got rejected as "already in use." So names have to be unique, but outside of that, currently nothing else seems to be linked. |
