What fun is a first person shooter if you can't play it with 4 of your friends and beer! |

Never going to happen, the PS3 is creaking as it is for memory space. |

Ya, I doubt it would ever happen. It was always great for any FPS game that did it though. |

um... online only game. it wont happen, and for some many reasons!
if it had offline sure but this is online only, multiple people on 1 console aint going to happen even if it had the power to do it.
you would have to be able to log into multiple accounts at once.
you would have your vision reduced, (played games were split screen caused your view distance to drop into a couple yard away causing the game to constantly load everything as you move. on top of this, things already have tiny icons, 4 person split screen would make them even smaller, you would probably need a 70+ inch tv to compensate. |

You say that like this is something that's not possible. It is. |

While possible, probably not worth it. I love splitscreen games, but you'd totally have asshats like me doing their best to dualbox. (I've already tried it with multiple PS3's, to some success.)

ive tried that with my ps3, it just switches users, and all the games with split screen would not let anyone else log into their accounts.
so it must be a few games that are programed with this feature then. |

It is very limited, but it's possible. I don't think it's something that's been around for the entire PS3's lifetime, and very few developers seem to care to implement it, but it's there if they wanted (I don't think it's restricted to only first-party titles). The only one I know offhand that lets you do it is Little Big Planet 2, but I know there's more. |

lol technically LBP and LBP2 are neither split screen or FPS either. |

Google says that Borderlands and Resistance 2 also allow both split screen and multiple logins, so there goes that stance. ;) |

Warhawk had 4 player online splitscreen. it was online only. |
