Gallente assaults already have too much CPU and not enough PG, and Ion Pistol is PG heavy. In the description ion pistol and SMG both have 10 PG, but in reality, at fitting op 4 SMG has 8 PG and ion pistol has ummm less CPU. Who gives a f*ck how much.
That 2 PG screws me hard!! This should have changed AGES ago. Ion pistol users are already choosing hard mode to some extent (worth it). Don't make us have to nerf our stats to be able fit that last bit of PG, especially when we've always got leftover CPU!!

Funny. I could have sworn that gallente suits and amarr had the highest pg of all four races.
Just downgrade a tier on your equipment/grenade/highslot. Or just use a federation specialist assault rifle. Its got the damage of a duvolle but the fitting requirements of a gek. The only i could imagine going over pg on a gal suit is if you were fitting a proto assault rail rifle or scrambler or going speed shotgunner.

You have no idea what you're talking about. GalAss isn't fitting low PG, high CPU mods. And I shouldn't have to sacrifice when the fitting skill could be of some slight use instead.

I've been asking for months for this to be changed to no avail. I mean If they can stop the warbarge form producing officer gear over the course of a few days they should be able to change the ion pistol fitting skill.

B. There's no imaginable reason he wouldn't want it done.

Not only does that 1 PG make me have to bump a ferro down to adv but it also makes it impossible to quickly switch out another sidearm for an ion pistol and vice versa. Very annoying and so purposeless! Almost like it was a mistake they never fixed.

Tell me your fit. Also your fitting bonus levels.(both the assault level and the ones from the weapons you have attached.) And just get a t-12 ion pistol. The things are identical except for a smidgeon of damage.

I've maxed all my fitting options on my skill tree from the light and sidearm operation, engineering and electronics, and fitting op of every weapon I have. Then anything fits pretty well, but until then the aggravation is endless. I'd probably have alot more stuff if I didn't max all this fitting op out for each weapon, but I like to know I'm getting the absolute most out of a weapon.

T-12 works as you said. Damage against shields goes from 80 to 76.2 with two Krin's damage mods. The main fit that it screws me on is Allotek with all dmg in the highs and all reactives/ferros in the lows. AR variant and M1 locus. It's either take a ferro down to advanced or go with the T-12. Lame.

I hope you have assault rifle fitting skill. I have mine at one and a duvolle is 9pg to fit.
The federation duvolle specialist assault rifle also has the damage of a duvolle but the fitting space of a gek. Get those.
My fit is.
Assault gk.0
Double krins.
Adv melee mod
Duvolle(or the specialist variant)
Assualt scrambler pistol(or the viziam scrambler pistol)
Core locus
X-3 quantum nanohives.
Triple reactives
Dual complex rep
(Or quadruple reactives,plus a complex rep)
I have around 7pg left over to play with.

I'm using viziam flux uplinks. Those things are pg monsters. I still have all proto except for the high slots.
Also drop the third damage mod for maybe a myofib(adv is like 4 pg.) to get some extra mobility. The stack penalty kinda kills having more than three damage mods.

Well GM Archduke said in response to my help ticket tha Krins don't stack with other mods or with themselves. Hopefully that's true. Before Krin's the third was a sidearm dmg mod.
As for ammo yes good call. If you want ammo go all the way with an Allotek and all reactives/ferros.
