Situation 1: Enemy Camps the CRU with 2-3 players, the rest of the team camps the red-line.
What you should do: find a way past the enemy to drop an uplink anywhere but where the enemy is.
What you shouldn't do: continuously spawn at the CRU being camped by someone you can see on the map from the warbarge because yes he is a heavy and he does have friends with him. Then when they keep killing you, spam them with tears (hate mail), it encourages the enemy to continue making fun of you as well as tells them they are doing exactly the right thing to keep getting kills and will continue to do so.

Situation 2: You continuously find yourself playing against players running full proto gear and wiping the floor with you in the best geat you can muster.
What you should do: Run BPO suits, it deprives the Proto bears of isk (there's a formula here) and it allows you to go and die without losing a tonne of isk.
What you shouldn't do: Leave the battle, every battle can be learned from, if you see a strategy that the other team uses well, learn how to counter it learn how to copy it. It could come in handy.

Situation 3: The enemy has a pesky sniper camping key locations on the map.
What you should so: Find the sniper, shoot him with something, counter-sniping is perfectly acceptable as is shotgunning them. Heck a well placed RE can make a sniper go vertical.
What you shouldn't do: go run into his line of fire or stand perfectly still.

Nice thread, DJINN. If it's okay to do so, may I add one?
Situation 4: You exit out of a doorway or from an uplink, and eagerly run forward looking for someone to shoot at or to ambush. You pass right alongside a nearby CRU, and right passed a Blaster Installation too. One of the objects was Blue and one was Red, but you ran right passed them and didn't stop...
What you SHOULD have done: STOP running, and If it is the CRU that's red, you must try to hack it---our team always needs them, even if we haven't used this one yet. And you don't want and enemy player spawning on you from behind because you ran by and left a door open for them.
What you should NOT do: Never run right passed an installation that you noticed was red, without stopping and checking. A red CRU next to a blue Gun Installation may mean a crafty enemy Scout just visited and opened a door for her friends to arrive. A blue CRU next to a red Gun installation may mean an enemy player has just arrived and could be standing at the Gun Installation this very moment. Or she may be cloaked and walking over to the CRU right now. Carefully try to find out, but hack that red object. It's too dangerous to you and to us if you just run passed it.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

Situation 5: After 2 1/2 hours of sending hate mail to the players who camped you in...
What you should do: Stop being a "LURCH the 1st" online id "LurchAddamsthe1s" and go cool off before getting yourself into trouble. Ask the players giving you trouble for help they obviously know the game better than you, champ.
What you shouldn't do: Write hate mail, call people out for being any number of expletives and insult them, their response will be to laugh and make fun of you on comms then go find you again to pee in your cornflakes some more because you obviously cannot take beating in a good mannered way throwing off your game and making you easier to kill, no matter how much you complain about not running away from a fight or being the biggest rooster in the chicken coop.

Situation 6: Match after match you keep running into the same guys playing in the same game mode and you keep failing to win or get many kills and are starting to get frustrated.
What you should do: Relax, maybe put on some music and chill for 5 or 10 mins, then deploy again. Most times also switching the game mode will get you different opponents. Control your anger and frustration games are supposed to be fun.
What you shouldn't do: If you are seeing red and just want revenge fine go ahead and deploy again (it will turn out the same way as before) but this is something you shouldn't do.
