Somebody told me that his links seem to spawn faster when he use the ammar scout (similar bonus to ammar logi). Is there any truth to this? |

Nope. Stamina + Scan Precision. The in-game skill description is up-to-date.

I figured as much. That is just too bad as those bonuses are not exactly a good selling point for me. You can do a similar scanning job with a scanner or by putting a precision enhancer. Sure, you will not be able to scan everybody but, that should cover 90% which is all you need. On top of that its an ugly looking scout.
This is the way i see it
Minmatar
runs fast
hacks fast
insta-kill with nova knife bonus.
caldari
fast shield regen
long range scan which when match with a precision enhancer is quite nice
good hiding ability
gallente
versatile slot layout
excellent hiding
can scan rather well
ammar
likes to go for long walks and sight seeing.
Carries its own pick nick basket which makes him move slower than the other scouts.
female version won miss butter-face contest 3 years in a row.

Agreed on all counts. The AM Scout's bonus is lackluster under current EWAR mechanics.

Huh... you know, if the amarr scout had something crazy like a 15% reduction in uplink spawn time (and/or uplink scan profile, hiding the uplinks from scanners and passive radar)
But kept the low bandwidth and had no bonus to spawn counts like the amarr logi
that would be pretty neat
a scout that creates a backdoor for a squad to rapidly materialize on |
