I just played an Acquisition Match where the bottom 8 players on my team died a total of 120 times but only managed to get 5 total kills. 
Very rarely do I see a match with as much treachery in it as the match I just played. |

I've played 43 matches. 7 wins. 7! 138 kills. Keep geting stuck on the non stomper team. Events like these bring out protobears and boosters like mad. Scotty could use some help...

Proto is pretty bad right now. The event brought out all the Protostompers and those Protostompers drove other players who normally don't run Proto into running Proto so that they can stand a reasonable chance.
I'm used to running APEX in Pubs but for the event I ended up switching to running only Proto. I am getting some pretty awesome ISK payouts though. |

What gamemode are you playing?
I have been playing mostly Acquisition with a little bit of Skirmish and I have been having some decent success.
I have played about 25 matches running solo since the event started and of those I have won 16 matches and I am at 224 kills. |

We should squad up in some Acquisition today (Sunday, it's 1 a.m. right now where I am at). I'm taking tomorrow off from work so I can try to grind out this event so I should be on quite frequently throughout the day starting around 11 a.m.. |

I've had a blast today in FW. So many close games and not a single black screen. Was rolling with a squad of 6 usually so that means 10 other people on the team were all pulling their weight. It's just a completely different experience to pubs.
Something is killing new player retention.

I'm running a apex samurai with a arr and rr. 3 Krin's, a shield reg and reps. Bpo uplink. Quafe skin. Level 5 commando with proficiency 5 rails. It gets the job done. And at 2500 isk a pop I don't mind loosing a few. I had some awesome matches but got that victory screen glitch so idk how I did.
I think I'm at 400 kills or so. Already got the wins.
Random: finally picked up a green skin. Wirykomi Cal m. Aka yoda skin.

That sounds like you may have had a booster who was smart enough to leave battle so that he did not top the board with a messed up number.
If not then props to those guys for continuing to try. |

Yes! I love FW, even though I'm a noob. Pubs just suck. I expect to be stomped in FW, in fact I expect both sides to be doing their fair share, and generally the pubstomping experience just doesn't happen in FW. I know noobs aren't "supposed" to do FW, but it's a better environment for learning, believe it or not. |

You absolutely can be doing FW if you want, and if you're worried about being a liability you should just squad up and take orders. Been working for me this whole time.

I played 3 solo Acquisition matches before going out this morning. All 3 we lost, however I was the only person who went positive in all 3. The protostomp is hard in most games at the moment so it kinda sucks for a lot of people at the moment.
If you are going to play any game mode solo, don't stay in the same place. Run uplinks and run a suit with a bit of speed. Hit and run, picking off the stragglers. If you see an angry mob of proto players go the other way.
Once you stop in one place you are inviting the stomp on yourself.
I usually logi as I prefer the support role, but it's been kinda fun running my tweeked nomad fit and an advanced gal assault fits.
Actually had some fun 1 v 1 s today.

Yes, I do squad up on occasion. No I'm not worried about being a liability. There are worse than me. I'm very aware that the best teams are always the ones with well organised squads, and I'm convinced they're mainly using voice comms. For some reason people don't seem to like voice comms, but I'm pretty sure that's an important tool being used by them. |
