Does CCP have any sort of Skill Planner tree or mobile tech. skill planner planned in the future?
This would help out the newer players coming into the EVE/DUST universe. The "Skills" function on our characters is very in depth and for those that aren't acclimated to "in depth" FPS's like this, would be a boon.

No, but players of EVE made their own software for doing this.
There are already interested people looking at writing similar software for DUST 514.
Maybe something like DUSTmon, or DUST HQ.
The skill system has no real skill tree since you decide what to learn and when. Different items have prerequisite paths though. There are also skills that have prerequisites. Basically you make your own path by looking at what you want to unlock prerequisites to. |

The problem I have run into is that there is no way to know what skills exist past a certain point. For example, a player would be completely unaware that there is a "Sniper Rifle Proficiency" skill (not sure on name) that reduces your rifle sway, that requires "Sniper Rifle Operation V" to obtain. Similarly I am trying to decide if I want to go for "Assault Rifle Operation V" largely based on whether there are any further skills that have ARO V as a pre-requisite, but there's no way for me to see that. |

For the moment you would use the market to rummage about all the skills. |

A skill planner could be user created once/if a proper API and/or CREST interface for developers is implemented. At least that would make things easier.

It doesn't have to be complex. More of a skill tree, thats on one page you can look at IN GAME. In game is the key, this way you dont have to stop what your doing and look up to the answer.
Think Civilization type Technologies map if you've ever played any Civilization games.
Something simple and fast, doesn't have to be in depth descriptions of skills.
