Chance Ravinne wrote:Okay guys well CCP Nullarbor who is working on structures in a major way it turns out was one of the guys who worked on the Dust FW bonuses for POSes. Right now the status of this bonus is not really set in stone for a few reasons:
- While a POS has to be anchored at a moon, a Citadel can be anchored anywhere. This means the idea that a Citadel is directly associated with a specific planet isn't the same as current POS anchoring
- Citadels don't use fuel the same way as a POS would so the fuel bonus doesn't correlate directly
Right now that is all I can get. I think it's safe to say the answer is "probably not carried over the same way" but do take heart that the current structure team is staffed by the people who designed the Dust bonuses, so they are well aware of its consideration. Sorry I can't do more at this time. I knew Citadels weren't going to work the same way, but Nullarbor is working the bonuses so we should have word on how they'll affect Citadels sometime around when they release.

Most likely, CCP will not recreate any Dust control bonuses for Eve structures, because they have near zero intent on expanding conquerable dust planets in New Eden.
KERO-TRADER is my official Eve character for Dust trading.

The doomsday has not been confirmed. There is still a lot of information about citadels we don't have.
Why do people interpret "We thought about this" as "This is absolutely coming"?

The defensive weapons are confirmed, and the doomsday equivalent was stated as a way to imbalance the playing field to the advantage of the defender in order to compensate for the prevalence of Titans.
I think it's a pretty safe bet that that's going to be a part of XL Citadels considering the mostly positive community response.

It would be great if you could anchor a citadel within a certain radius of the district beacon, and the district could provide anti-orbital fire support :D
