Why make such a good game which is near unplayable now?
The lag has killed Dust for me, every game there is always the lag to factor in the fights.
As an avid FPS player lag is the worst thing to ever have and in this game it isnt my fault im lagging its the ****** rendering.
Then there's PC...
PC is such a competitive game mode but heres the things we have to do to play it:
-Reset Beforehand
-Get Server
-Play for 2 minutes then leave and rejoin
-get 'Removed from battle' upon rejoining
-Cant get back into pc because it says something like '-1D 23H 45M 15S'
Or
-Rejoin and lag anyway
-Get a 70 pound SSD to play a free game which will still have fps drops even with one
There is no point having a corp, you know why? cos some dude can be like 'I'm reforming so and so' and every freeking corp hopper joins them, the usually after 2 months they leave again then they all join the next winning corp.
If this game had a bigger player base than just 1,500 people it would actually be fun to be competitive, but no its just the same 30-70 people in PC all ringing for each other and thinking they re all great.
This game is dying, dont let it kill you too.
I'm saving up for a PS4 i've had enough of lagging every game i play, with 9/13 Player matches.
Its such a good game i used to love it until it forced me out with the lag.
CCP sort your freeking priorities out mate.
I mean you do a hotfix but you don't change the writing in the skill tree?

Are you just accommodating the daily players just trying to squeeze every last penny out of them till the end?
I'm pretty sure the only reason this game still exist is cos of its big brother 'EVE Online'
But dont get me wrong i have met some awesome people on here, the chat system is probably the ONLY reason most people are hooked.
I hate playing on a map where you have to stay on 1 side of it not to get framerate drops.
I.E Bridge Map - Cant go into the city aswell as the outside, when you do this you might aswell be watching a slide show.
Gal Research facility - Amazing Map, when it doesnt lag (which is the rarest thing on this game)
I'm not quitting just yet, but it will be coming when i get my PS4.
I'm a COD gamer at heart, so its time to kick ass on the new black ops :)

It really does just seem like Dust is trying to do too much on a not-very-well optimized system. I'd love to see CCP push out an ultra low LOD setting. If it gave a steady 30fps I'm sure many people would jump on it, I know I would. I don't fire up my PS3 to enjoy good graphics, I've got a PC for that. I fire up my PS3 because it's the only place I can get the gameplay of Dust.
Something is killing new player retention.

Try to uninstall and reinstall, it really improved the game for me. Sure there is still some lag (but apparently we're getting a new server in 2016) and sometimes fps drops, but it's much rarer and loadings are clearly faster |

I missed the fight last night, so I missed the slideshow 
That map (Production Facility w/Bridge) is pretty damn bad for lag as it is, no surprise when the game gets unplayable and on top of that we have the glorious CCP.. adding PC 2.0 (eiith NO attempt to fix the problems in PC) but hey, who cares.. I'll just buy some AUR and maybe get one of those soon to be rare Legacy SKINS.. because that makes sense  
You know.. who doesn't want to take the great offers added weekly by CCP..
It's not like we can actually play the game 
Someone should thank the Dev team.. for being so considerate, as they know the game is unplayable.. probably the only reason they tried to cash in on "fancy dress 514" along with adding trading... I support this
We need more content that does not involve playing the game, this will solve everything

I would bet it's all the junk rattati keeps adding to the game that's clogging up all the ram.
There's always more skins being added, every few months, and every few months the performance gets worse.
P.S. I know almost everyone on here seems to worship rattati, but for what it's worth, I think he's doing a terrible job.

Understandable concerns. I myself started playing Destiny a fair bit on the PS4, learning what they do differently in some situations and making note of it. I still get on Dust 514 but, admittedly, not as much. However that isn't because of lag (got used to that after the ANON - TSOLE war) it's because I have 90m SP and dunno what to do anymore =P
What I will say is this: No matter what happens, better or worse, never biomass your character. No matter how much you hate the game right now, keep your character in your back pocket and let that passive SP accumulate. If you really love the game, throw some money at CCP and put on passive boosters. Don't have to if you don't want to, but the moral of the story is that if you biomass.... you may very well regret it later.

DUST514 is the only game I play and when I quit (very very soon) I won't be touching another controller until I hear something about a next gen version of dust. Until then ccp you can suck it cause we are all done spending money on a game that get's increasingly worse....not improve but gets worse... what in the possible **** did you do to make this worse? how the **** did "improvements " get slipped into patch notes? you meant to put "additional bugs and lag"
if you could spend the money we spend on this game to improve it we would all be happy as **** but nope that money is being used to fund **** dust 514 drinking parties where all of ccp's employees gather to laugh at the dust 514 community. |

The link between games was never realized. The fact it was ever on the ps3 astounds me in the first place. F'ng corp hopping. (Mind you I've moved around some) and chat is good but a end all be all massive chat is needed yet everyone is doing their own thing.

Understandable. Thing is though man, we've reached the absolute limit when it comes to optimization. Like, there's nothing more we can do. Graphically, mechanically, we've optimized everything possible. Anything else and the game would.... Well, it wouldn't be Dust 514, that's for sure xD
And I can almost guarantee that all of the money being put into Dust 514 is being used for Dust 514.

Lag is simply unacceptable in an FPS. I can understand a little lag but when I came back for a few games, I understood well why I had taken a break.

That is a strange thing to say. For all its bells and whistles I thought - at its core - Dust 514 was a competitive shooter? You know what the CS:GO community considers an unacceptable framerate? 100. And here we are trying to play our competitive shooter at never more than 25 and more often than not at about 15. I won't believe that more can't be done because that would mean 'it wouldn't be Dust' when Dust isn't even what Dust should be in the first place.

Pi$$ poor performance , can't play because of lag , I became glued to the side of a railing ... couldn't move and was easily killed because of it , invisible walls and wall glitches , forge still blank fire along with large rails including ghost firing , screen freezes , hard freezes , spawn into a black screen and the list goes on but we get a steady diet of new skins to spend money on .
The warbarge was an attempt at a cash cow .
People can blame the PS3 all they want but the bottom line for me holds true to management and how it just seems like their trying to milk the community for all they can before they pull the plug .
No word , no expectations , no clean up , no REAL fixes , no hope for a future regardless of whatever platform because of silence , no work on Dust 514 because other games and plans take precedence so that means ... no chance for real growth for a game that's clearly marked for death by it's own developers .
Sometimes it's best to read the signs and not wait to be told anything or to be lied to and strung along only to be disappointed .
This situation is disappointing enough .

The lag has killed Dust for me, every game there is always the lag to factor in the fights.
As an avid FPS player lag is the worst thing to ever have and in this game it isnt my fault im lagging its the ****** rendering.
Then there's PC...
PC is such a competitive game mode but heres the things we have to do to play it:
-Reset Beforehand
-Get Server
-Play for 2 minutes then leave and rejoin
-get 'Removed from battle' upon rejoining
-Cant get back into pc because it says something like '-1D 23H 45M 15S'
Or
-Rejoin and lag anyway
-Get a 70 pound SSD to play a free game which will still have fps drops even with one
There is no point having a corp, you know why? cos some dude can be like 'I'm reforming so and so' and every freeking corp hopper joins them, the usually after 2 months they leave again then they all join the next winning corp.
If this game had a bigger player base than just 1,500 people it would actually be fun to be competitive, but no its just the same 30-70 people in PC all ringing for each other and thinking they re all great.
This game is dying, dont let it kill you too.
I'm saving up for a PS4 i've had enough of lagging every game i play, with 9/13 Player matches.
Its such a good game i used to love it until it forced me out with the lag.
CCP sort your freeking priorities out mate.
I mean you do a hotfix but you don't change the writing in the skill tree?

I'm pretty sure the only reason this game still exist is cos of its big brother 'EVE Online'
But dont get me wrong i have met some awesome people on here, the chat system is probably the ONLY reason most people are hooked.
I hate playing on a map where you have to stay on 1 side of it not to get framerate drops.
I.E Bridge Map - Cant go into the city aswell as the outside, when you do this you might aswell be watching a slide show.
Gal Research facility - Amazing Map, when it doesnt lag (which is the rarest thing on this game)
I'm not quitting just yet, but it will be coming when i get my PS4.
I'm a COD gamer at heart, so its time to kick ass on the new black ops :)

I can't even talk I quit playing the game, I only log on to redeem my warbarge and maybe sell stuff for stupidly low prices.. My bad Internet (which lags 24/7) + natural dust lag = a bad time for everyone including the kittens...
Also, will you continue your YouTube channel when you decide to stop kicking the rotting corpse and go to ps4 (or anywhere that doesn't make you want to kick a dwarf or something)?

These past few days and weeks and been really bad in terms of performance drops, errors popping up and massive lag problems. We have put up with a lot in this game for a long time but this is something different recently. |
