You can adjust vehicle X/Y aiming speed from the main game settings, that may help.

Standard dropships come with an auto stabilization feature that makes them easier to use for newer players or pilots that want to use mobile CRUs effectively. The ADS on the other hand is designed to be more nimble, and to move faster in and out of engagements.

Most pilots are happy to get the increased maneuverability that comes with the ADS, but if you prefer the feel of the standard dropship perhaps tweak those sensitivity settings.

You could also consider stacking armor plates, as that will certainly slow you down lol

It allows you to maneuver quickly and escape AV much easier. It can be difficult to adjust, but is well worth it.
