Why are we not focused on getting more players, and giving the highly experienced players somthing better to do than stomp newbs.
Instead of PC just being an isk farm for a small percent of the "elite". Remove all costs and clone farming for isk from it and allow corps to challenge each other at any time but also allow the challenged to reject a fight ( back down ).
Maybe only 1 district for every 20 Corp members so new corps can actually have one and join in on the fun. Allow 5-10 attacks a day and make payouts modified to 150% of destroyed assets to the winners, 75% to the losers to make it self sustaining.

you don't solve anything with this, and giving players the option to decline means they would only accept fights they can profit off of
to be fair separating players is an attempt at increasing player retention by making it easier for them to get into it and not have such a high learning curve or redundant problems caused by other players
steps have already been taken to try to improve things for everyone but those steps don't work as effectively as we had hopped for originally
what I and many others are trying to do is give everyone else a general idea that can be discussed on and improved upon to hopefully help out with some of the problems that we face
I personally want to see vets playing against vets and newberries playing with newberries and a mix of both in between so that we don't have these redundant problems of it taking x amount of more shots to kill a player and all those arguments that in the past have been used to nerf and buff certain weapons

Then maybe discuss wiping assets and wallets and passive isk from districts. Maybe if people had to run what they could afford not what belonging to a specific Corp affords them... I wouldn't mind and I have over a hundred officer suits around a thousand officer weapons and over a billion isk. Wouldn't change my playstyle one bit. |

We need a solution that isn't a shitload of work and that doesn't split everyone up. New Players should be able to meet mentors by random chance.
I'm thinking buffed pre-fitted dropsuits that a NP fresh out of academy can wear and operate like they are at Proto level.
Drops from completed matches, which limits quantity, or perhaps the simple crafting mechanic CCP is working on could take junk salvage and buff a Pre-fit into PRO level fitting.
Closes the gap somewhatm how suits are spent is the players decision.
Is easier work, better chance at becoming reality than some other ideas.
Edit: I think I meant for this to be in another thread.
Because beer, that's why.

Maybe base matchmaker off Corp stats... In a top Corp with high k/d w/l and benefits that's all you get matched against.
Newb corps with garbage stats fight each other. I love it. |
