Can't speak for dropships, don't really use them.
A tank shouldn't be going down to 2 swarm hits ever, so lets break this down.
First, turrets and your playstyle.
Rails for tanks and dropships, Missiles for armor and not horrible infantry performance, Blasters for up close party time.
Hardeners, 2 on armor tanks, try and fit three on a shield tank if you can. Turn them on before the party starts.
On armor, plate 2 hardeners and a heavy rep is a good base for every turret. Dual rep blaster, triple hardener rail can work in places, but stick with a base layout until you know when.
Do not stay close to infantry. If they get in close, move out and take range. If you see a full squad all closing around you, hit a prop mod and do a lap.
Against infantry, ideally you want to keep them 30 m away so that they aren't lobbing lai dais at you. Anytime you see a horde, be cautious on driving up near them, and look for the glow from nanhives. 2 people on a nanohive with lai dais will wreck you in very short order.

First suggestion....RESPEC Second suggestion...RESPEC Third suggestion...ADS are not flying tanks and take a great deal of SP and real practice to get good with. Fourth suggestion...RESPEC
Seriously, just respec and find a role you may enjoy more or are better suited to. Because, taking out a good ADS pilot is almost impossible. If you are dying a great deal its not the mechanics. This seems to be another shoehorn issue. ADS is not going to be good on every map and knowing when to run it is half the skill. You can't force it every game. |

Thanks for the tank info. But my main problem is my drop ship. I cant even shoot anyone with the missile turret without them hitting me with swarms even with complex armor harder on i still "Get wrecked". Do you know anyone who can train me in tanks and drop ships? |

Malta swarms? Droves of Maltese throwing themselves at your tank shouldn't have much of an effect on your tank, unless they get stuck under the tracks. Also, there cant even be that many Maltese playing the game...maybe 7 or 8 maximum.
Hell naw...to the naw naw naw...hell to the naw.

On a basic level, fly shield dropships, better resists to swarms. 2 hardeners, ab, buffer I guess.
Beyond that, other people will have to teach you, as I never got into them.
I'll tell the D's pilots I know about this thread.
