I've been playing for about a month, and have got pretty good at using ScRs, the downside of which is that after the hotfix, they are a completely junk weapon. I've tried using 3x damage mods on a Vizam ScR and I still can't seem to kill anything amour tanked (80%+ of players) without the weapon overheating on me.
This leads me to needing to adapt to a new weapon. I've placed a few skillpoints in level 1s for the RR, CR and AR to give each one a bit of a go. Unfortunately, I'm struggling to even get basic kills on any of them. I'm guessing it's a matter of more training, but I would like some help deciding which one to go for. So soldiers, which weapon do you think is the most similar to my old ScR so I can use similar tactics to those I have picked up previously? |

The TAR is somewhat similar to the previous model of the SCR, though significantly worse (according to Rattati it has about a third of the efficiency).

The TAC ar would be the most familiar to you, but it requires some sp investment. I believe there is a federation glu tactical that requires level 1 or 2 in ar ? I suggest trying that weapon if you like semi auto. If not I recommend using the combat rifle paired with a shield based sidearm.
While slow to anger and occasionally indecisive, they are also capable of harnessing enormous resolve when truly tested.

I would stick with the Scrambler
I have been using it and I haven't seen much of a difference (that I can see yet)
Scram pistols got a buff too
Nothing really that's close other than the Tac AR |

The problem I find with the ScR is that against most targets (medium, amour tanked) it took all but 1 or 2 shots before overheating to dispatch many of them. Now that the ScR overheats 4-5 shots earlier, the target either gets away in fairly low armour or otherwise shreads you to death as you jump around for cover whilst waiting for the rifle to cool down... |

Stick with SCR but maybe try the Assault version. It's awesome.
As for the overheating, it's just something you might want to get familiar with. Overcoming that obstacle will be worth it in the long run, also use your sidearm. If i'm fighting a particularly compromising fight where I haven't been able to reload my Breach AR from one person to having to fight the next, I just whip out my sidearm and finish the job. If you see your heat building up, just do a quick switch and pop a couple shots off before switching back to your main.
