Tried running some shield fit assaults.. Not sure but I feel like I need to run and hide from everything while in the suit. It's like the meta has turned the Cal Assault into the run and hide suit.
3 Complex Extenders, Energizer, Damage Mod, Two Complex Regis and a Complex Ferscale plate. Either Rail Riffle and had to switch away the Bolt Pistol for a Boundless Breach.
First few games I wrecked face then soon as the ARs came out it was all over. The suit just instantly melts.
My main fit is the Apex 'Shogun' Sentinel : if I use the Bolt Pistol for anything.. I feel like it fires out a small beacon and everyone with a scrambler riffle or assault riffle turns around and instantly melts my heavy suit. I was very frustrated with the Forge Gun charge time increase but now with the BP it's like the worst of both worlds.
Switched out the MagSec on the Shogun... not a fan moved back to the bolt pistol.
Went 2 and 15 a few rounds with the Caldari Shogun.. got a little frustrated and rage quit and shut down the PS3.
Came back on and fit out a Caldari Proto commando, two damage mode and a energizer, two complex damps, Advanced Assault RR and advanced Swarms. That seamed to hold up much better then the Apex or the Caldari assault. Got a bunch of kills and stayed alive in most encounters weather I killed or just scared them off. The 1 sec depleted really shines.
All and All the my main suit Caldari Shogun needs some major loving. Something needs a tweak. Will come back in a couple days but really my first impressions are what they are..

AR buff is a shield nerf, thats for sure.
and the most fun part, the TAR gets 840 base DPS on Gal Assault ?! 
I guess its time to buy a turbo controller... err I mean tear extractor!  |

I haven't noticed any nerf to Forge charge and I spent the while of last night using everything from the State Shogun and Federation Atlas fits to the AFG and BFG. I'll check the numbers later but I don't think the Forge was touched.

Forge gun didn't change this patch, The Forge gun use to allow you to somewhat defend yourself before switching to a side arm. Not in the current meta. Before you could shot the ground "hit stun + damage, switch to side arm then have a fighting chance". Just reinforcing that current changes with the Bolt Pistol on the Shogun is making it slide into a bad place. If something doesn't chance will be replacing the Toxin as the sidearm for that suit. Probley the beach SMG on all other Cal Sentinals.
Still need to play some more but just throwing out what I'm seeing and feeling.
