and replace it with a base pay for victory or loss. AFKing to a loss should give a base terrible reward.
I propose 25k for a loss and 100k for a victory.
The only voice for a port is the voice of reason from money drying up.
More skins and 1% damage to keep Dust on PS3.

I can see where you are coming from . I think something should be done about afkers , but the payouts are working ok in my experience for a player willing to contribute within reason without being near friendly or enemy red lines.
Bad match where my team stomps. I make 300 WP in 10 minutes get 100k isk. Compared to a match that I join which is about to end , but I still spawn and defend the letter, netting 500 WP a minute. Got about 100k isk too.
I think the passive battle time adds that extra payout for slow extended matches to make up for the missing action. I like the way it functions because you can still get a reasonable paycheck , even if there was not a lot of action to be had.
While slow to anger and occasionally indecisive, they are also capable of harnessing enormous resolve when truly tested.

Would it be possible to grant passive pay only for time outside the redlines? AFKers in the redline no longer get rewarded while players active and trying to push would be rewarded.
There would be the issue where teams backed into the redline and suppressed there wouldn't get paid for anything other than WP earned. Would need a workaround for that.

This would only make people more likely to leave battle as soon as the battle looks to be a red line.
Some sort of WP multiplier once the match seems to be lost is a potential idea but setting those thresholds would be very tough. This would reward those who continue to participate in lost battle with a higher percent of the ISK reward as well as with more SP.
That is a very difficult thing to add in without rewarding farming even more.
Maybe something simple like these.
Domination and skirmish.
If absolute value(mcc1 - mcc2) greater than X then WP = WP * 1.2
Ambush
if absolute value (clone pool1 - clone pool2) greater than X then wp = wp * 1.2
Acquisition
if absolute value (score1 - score2) greater than X then wp = wp * 1.2
I am going to toy with some numbers and make up a spread sheet for this proposal as far as check times and such. Before I go into all of that, what do you guys think about this basic idea with or without my proposal on the time in battle pay removal?

Let's say i join a stomp. Try hard to win,losing 4 adv suits (alone costing 8k each),not counting equipment. I go negative isk wise.
Join a few more stomps. Wash rinse repeat.
Soon,because of these changes i'm forced to run MLT. Then my teams suffer more due to lack of logistics on the field.
This would only benefit pubstompers.
And some would go "we're losing,may as well write this one off". Then they change to MLT and suicide to end the match faster.

I think you are misunderstanding. I am not proposing the removal of WP based payouts.
I am proposing the removal of time in battle payouts. Those are the base payouts which you get just for being in battle even if you receive zero WP.
The system I am mentioning of 100k for victory and 25k for loss would be an ever so slight nerf for losses and a big buff for victories.
As a logi you would still earn massive payouts only now they would be more massive if your team won the battle.
