Just like it works for infantry. Making it an AV weapon will increase its utility and will often be used on the field. Damage output increases as you cook it more on the tank/ds.

Well that's simple. Its a laser weapon, high damage against shield low on armor. In other words useless on a hardened gv.0/Incubus.

Okay, but if it's a weapon with a greatly increased dmg output and it retains its long range, you are effectively sniping infantry with a light-AV weapon.
A new Heavy Laser with much shorter range would be better than an AV laser rifle, similar to the Spartan Laser from Halo.

Laser rigle does too much damage at the top of it's overheat to be balanced as a straight AV weapon without an asston of experimenral tweaking. The throughput is too high.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

While you're here Breakin, I've heard of a potential solution to lopsided matches and would like your feedback:
In the event of a lopsided match, all players on the larger team are offered the opportunity to switch sides in exchange for more isk and/or sp at the end of the match (10-20% for example). The offer is only good until the teams are even (if you're slow on the acceptance of the offer, tough luck) and is only offered once per match; you deny it and it's not offered again until another lopsided match.
Plays on the whole "I'm a mercenary and only care as to what you can afford" mentality, eh?

Introducing a new weapon? Will that not cause more lag? Ofc its base damage needs to be changed if it is gonna be a av weapon. And as for the range it should remain the same fussy drama queen 'not too close, not too far'. In other words no cqc no tower camping.
