I would like opinions from people above this sp threshold simply because it means time in game experience, people below this threshold I would ask to refrain from chiming in or derailing my post. No disrespect intended.
To the high sp players... Do you think running a full proto/officer suit solo is more likely to secure you'r "team" a win or a well organized squad with similarly skilled squad mates running advance gear or lower.
What do you believe is more likely to bring victory.
Also do you belive running full officer/proto nonstop is sustainable without Corp funds. |

I've won a few matches singlehandedly in full proto for my 'team' a few times, but not many. I have, however, came into a match that was half over with a squad wearing apex suits and turned things around more times than I can count. So to answer your question the latter.
It's definitely sustainable. As an example, about 6 months ago I decided I was going to quit the game. My plan was to run only full proto until I was out of isk and hang it up. By the end of the week I was 12mil up from where I started. I ended up taking a short break and have been back into full on addiction mode since. Should also note that I've taken/ received very little Corp funds. Being in a small Corp it mostly went to pc attacks (back when they were 50mill a pop) and reimbursing pilots and broke Corp mates after battles.
Hope that helps o7 |

Only 80 million SP here so screw your rule.
Only 20 million ish SP plus a squad matters. Above that area is only versatility assuming you have spent your SP well.
With no squad you are likely to not ever have a single bit of support so all the SP in New Eden would not help you as you can only wear one suit at a time. Bandwidth also hurt this. I use to easily change the battle for my team by simply putting out some good links and defending them in my heavy.
For the record I should be well above 100 million SP but I have only capped out 1 time since the cap was raised.
The only voice for a port is the voice of reason from money drying up.
More skins and 1% damage to keep Dust on PS3.

Well first, yes, you can run proto ALL the time if you want.
Squad matters a lot. But I can dawn officer junk and clear rooms and stack the bodies high too.
Between a solo guy running officer junk and a well organized team, the squad is more important.
Ideally if you really want to win, have one guy running officer and focus around him, moving as a group. If someone wants to pull out a big gun or suit I will always offer to run a logi for them, to make them more effective.
I've never had corp funding for myself xD Though not having taxes helps in the long run too with sustainability. The fact is you ru more proto, the more isk you can potentially make from a match because your score can go higher. If your always on the top of the board, you make a pretty penny.
Also, 104mil life time atm.
