Facebook 'app' will also be removed in January. Source: Here
Methinks the lack of *anything* since July (both content and hotfix) is a result of CCP being acutely aware of the fact that PS3 support and online services are ending quite soon, thus scrambling to find an appropriate port platform. Warlords 1.3 may honestly be the last content update we see for Dust on the PS3

Online services?
What about Destiny players? Battlefield players? CoD players?
I think online playing will be available for much more years.

Sony has publicly stated that they will continue online services at least until the end of 2015, but that they also want people to move to the ps4. Thus, services are likely to end around the end of 2015 or early-mid 2016

Online services for the PS3 are not going anywhere soon. You are comparing apples to oranges.
Sony has already pledged support for PSN on PS3 for "as long as it is profitable". With 10s of millions of consoles still out there world wide possibly using PS Plus, buying online titles, and spending money on DLCs they probably still make more off of PS3 PSN in a day than CCP has ever even imagined making on Dust.
The only voice for a port is the voice of reason from money drying up.
More skins and 1% damage to keep Dust on PS3.

The logical choice is console, not PC. The goal is to expand your customer base. |

Sony is continuing to produce PS3s up until, I believe, March of 2016. Sony also gave the greenlight to produce all 2015 games for the PS3.
Sony will not put an end to the PS3 when they are still producing them. Also, a good indication as to determining when the PS3 will be no more would be when they start to slow down on producing games for it.
Realistically you will most likely not see any signs of the PS3 starting to fade out until after Christmas season of 2016. |

You do realize that the PS3 and PS4 are running on the same network, the playstation network. Why do you think when there is an outage both consoles are affected?
They may discontinue support for the PS3 at the end of this year, but as far as the online network goes, it will no doubt be there a while. So please, just stop with your silly uneducated assumptions. There has been no announcement that they are completely shutting down the network PS3 side. |

The frustration comes from us, as stakeholders, being uncertain as to the fate of a product that we are all emotionally (and some monetarily) invested in. Uncertainty kills morale and kills games. What else are we to do but speculate the worst and clamor for any single piece of information that we can find?

I also don't think that, unless you are from NZ, this is relevant enough to be generalized.
NZ is a small country, with a small population.
You can't just assume that because it was more cost effective for Sony to do this in NZ that the same will be said for elsewhere, or that automatically means the end of online support. That is a large logical leap.
Former CEO of the Land of the BIind.
Any double entendre is unintended I assure you.
