ccp i will never understand why you made dust on the piece of crap that is the ps3.
your entire playerbase being on pc alone makes it a completely illogical choice
then you consider the hardware limitations of the machine and this project was doomed from day one
i just wanted to say i would pay a subscription monthly for this game to be on pc and to return to full scale development
i would not only pay a subscription if you tooka bit of time to pretty this up and add a bit of new content before release ide pay a full 30 for the early access fee and then a monthly subscription.
why are you limiting dust so much
these machines are dying dust had the potential to be amazing
there are so few great shooters on pc and this game is supposed to be part of eve bring it to pc be logical
there are a lot of port threads out today ...but don't port this thing to a console don't continue the cycle of pleb games made on pleb machines ..the ps4 is already 10 years out of date...

All I know is , I wouldn't know about CCP , EVE or Dust 514 if it wasn't for the PS3 .
I guess that doesn't count though because people like yourself need what you want , even more so when your paying money .
I guess the people that purchased their PS3 and played Dust 514 without prior knowledge of EVE , I guess they don't matter either because it sounds like another sounding board for the #PCMASTERRACE community .
We understand the limitations of the PS3 but you have them in your mode of play as well from hacks , bots .. I don't have to tell you and go down the line and PC games lag too and have a ton of glitches so I guess apples and oranges .
I really wish you people would stop this already , you know if you put forth your efforts in balancing or creating a matching process , talking about glitches or bugs or dropping the rest of the racial vehicles then , I think you might win a lot more people over ... but for this to be the unknown number of port threads , it's really getting repetitive and tiresome , you and you flock .
Lets half way fix what we have here before we talk about doing anything else , or do you want CCP to make another bad business decision like the one you've mentioned before ?

On one hand I would say putting Dust 514 on a console system, any system was a bad idea. The programing for them is too unique to make cross platform ports easy, never mind online play between them. Plus a console system ahs a limited shelf life and the PS3 wasn't exactly new even when Dust came out. Given it's an on going game, tied to a persistent game like EVE in theory it was doomed to hit the end of shelf life wall all systems hit eventually. Making the issues of a cross platform port a real problem.
Not just the technical aspects, but the choices. What if they wanted to move to another system like the Xbox instead of the ps4? It would cause tons of problems to do so with their player base.
On the other hand it was a fairly good choice. Eve fans had the PC market pretty locked down. People interested in the universe were already playing Eve on PC and only a fraction might of bothered with a FPS like Dust if it had been on PC. Dust was one of the few free to play FPS games on the PS3, on the other hand there are dozens if not hundreds of free games available on the PC at any time. The PS3 also let a lot of people who didn't have a PC capable playing high quality games into the CCP's pockets.
In short DUST on PS3 gave CCP a larger audience to work with, an audience with less other free online FPS games to really choose from.

didnt play 3..was there a halo 4...odst was nice liked reach good story and 1 was classic but i fell off mostly because i didnt wanna buy a 360

CCP has been truly successful with one game and that is Eve. They ****** up all of their other projects because of their "priorities".
If the management over at CCP knew what was best for them they would ensure that this game does not fail. Investors like to put their money into businesses that have a foreseeable future, not one-hit-wonders.

Yes it is repetitive, but beacause it is a proven formula. People like halo. If you change it, people will not like it. Example:

the ps3 is not obsolete? how so the ps4 is obsolete the ps4's gpu equates to a gtx500-600series maybe thats 4 generations behind we are moving out of the 900 series its insane
