Develop camaraderie through collective struggle. Enjoy some emergent gameplay. Try to get rich, gain bragging rights. The reality is ridiculous lagfests that I trudge through because I don't want to let my corp down, trying my damnedest to be effective even though I'm a sitting duck that can't aim or move properly. Maybe most other players are on the same playing field with me but it doesn't seem that way. Guess I don't have a great connection. It's just torture at this point. I just feel stupid every time. Not only am I just playing a game and not being productive, I'm playing a game I can't even really play or enjoy. What a f*cking joke!

This has gotten certain regions close to the equator hate because their corps. What you do is switch the server setting in-game. If we could have a shooter that offers a competitive environment that fosters emergent content--anything even in the neighborhood of EVE--it would be groundbreaking, super fun, addictive and satisfying, and probably what we post-apocalyptic survivors still clinging to life in this game have been dreaming of. To think of what they are capable of creating, and that all we have for emergent content, persistence, and immersion is the played out garbage that is PC....only the frustrated cries of a demigod can express my disappointment: http://youtu.be/A9gC1GiSDDA

You guys should of been around during some of EvE's last epic battles in 2013, lagged us to hell.

SSD go for pretty cheap thee days for PS3, you can get them reasonably priced on Ebay and Amazon. I actually suggest it for all your games, it vastly improves the experience. Wish I had one, my friends was godly :(

Not in the same form we're thinking, but I believe guys do perform some type of lag switching. They all joke about it because they know SONY will never really look into it. There's the getting of the server nonsense where you attempt to get into the battle first lol! This I think makes the whole point of the game mode moot?! If getting the server gives an advantage to one team over the other, then what's the point of playing? If the other guys are lagging, and you know it? That's not a fight?! I just hope CCP irons this out so we can really play. "Anybody order chaos?"

Check local stores, don't be afraid to go shopping around until you find one you'll get your money's worth. You must have found it on sale, their site says $90 for a PNY 240 right now. There's a Sandisk 240 for $70 though, so it's not unlikely that they dip from time to time. I personally couldn't see shelling out even a dollar more for this game, but if you feel it'll help your experience then it's not that expensive / hard to upgrade.

The 500g I bought last year @Fry's (amd iirc) was right in that range. DUST is by no means all I use my ps3 for so the 500 was a much better value for my money. I think the other guy is correct about your numbers, that pricing sounds like a hybrid drive. Which is fine, but its not a solidstate. My whole point was only partially the ssd. It was also the disheartening disincentive that PC payouts were stripped to make way for DKs and the promise of the DK market which has materialized now as being a militia bpo outlet store. Because PC is worth working for to get limitless militia gear. Seriously, its like taking up high school athletics, training and competing to the Olympics, and then for a medal they hang a cafeteria lunch pass from your high school around your neck. I am in fact an IT professional (Network Admin and PC Repair) it is possible to find good deals, you just have to be willing to look. Your price is based on a quote from last year, which maybe last year that was the price for it but prices are never consistent. Obviously you cant use that on a ps4 because it is way too small. I made my ps3 a dedicated dust console so all i needed was a 60gb ssd. I actually use a separate drive to store them but I prefer downloading, then watching, on my ps3 versus my ps4. The ps4's "stream-only" thing kinda sucks to me, most of the time its ok but when its not its annoying as hell. Wheras the ps3 downloads allowing me to begin watching as the download completes and the program always looks great and never has that pixelated edging look. The battle server is selected while you are waiting for deployment and cant change while the battle is going. Yes PC can get laggier as the game goes on but thats because the game doing to much for PS3 to handle. The lag most people are experiencing in pc isnt even internet connection speeds, its PS3 performance issues. This is why it helps resetting after every pc. Most people are whiny children who always blame the other side when it is just as likely there fault. Defrag PS3 and turn fans on once a month, delete contacts and fittings, try deleting and reinstalling game if its been awhile, git gud fgts. In the mean time though, they are basically giving you FW boosters so you can acquire the gear and equip used in PC. But MLT weapons, really? Seems like such a slap to the face.

They'll likely add more Aurum stuff, like Active Boosters etc. I can see a point to the MLT BPOs; player trading market. Use your DK to buy BPOs that are otherwise Aurum-only and sell for ISK to players who can't afford/choose not to buy Aurum. DK is now used to fund PC fits. Purifier. First Class.

At least MAG didn't break ps3 systems nor lagged. The lag in MAG wasn't frame rate issues but teleporting issues and that was minimal. Dust on the other hand. Seems to have both frame rate and teleportation issues. Even rendering I remember in MAG it wasn't as as bad and rendered really fast. On dust, it takes a couple seconds and it can blamed on the graphical update from Chromosome to Uprising. Or just poor optimization. I prefer chromosome settings = faster rendering and doesn't make the ps3 work twice as much. Why did the white girl cross the road? The battle server is selected while you are waiting for deployment and cant change while the battle is going. Yes PC can get laggier as the game goes on but thats because the game doing to much for PS3 to handle. The lag most people are experiencing in pc isnt even internet connection speeds, its PS3 performance issues. This is why it helps resetting after every pc. Most people are whiny children who always blame the other side when it is just as likely there fault. Defrag PS3 and turn fans on once a month, delete contacts and fittings, try deleting and reinstalling game if its been awhile, git gud fgts. As for actual lag switches someone who had 1 said if you turn it on you dc straight away . How does that help? Ok, now I am offended! Outlining a server switching lag issue below. If you are an Ahole who will abuse this, then advert your eyes. You go to the over head map Press L1 Go to options Go to server selection Set to something besides default Wham, mother fing bahm, lag. Why? Because as other people stated, getting in earlier changes the server selected or something like that. Apparently something with switching servers mid battle makes Dust pissed off. Let me tell you, I bet they didn't code that in expecting people to pull that. If you don't believe me, when there is a lag fest, get close to a player cloaked/damped out and switch servers. Try it a few times while cloaked and you will find a server that doesn't lag like the others. Yeah, that happens! You said you DC right away by switching servers, but that is something wrong on your end most likely. I didn't DC and neither did a few of my corp mates when we were trying to stop the rubber banding. SSD only improves your graphics, the rubber banding will still happen due to your machine recording one movement and the server having recordings of another. Know your errors before calling people out. CCP probably never saw that in the testing because who would knowingly try to lag out a game in other contracts knowing they were being watched. This does happen, because when I PC against say FA like we did Sunday there wasn't noticeable lag. Then we PC against Ecce and SOG and guess what, half way through the fight we were winning, fing piles of lag and we loose hard from their having 1/4 MCC less than us and 50 clones less than us. So tell me what happened? Good corp PC no lag, bad corp PC lots of lag. Switch servers, less lag. Half my corp flipped servers and we stopped feeling the spikes but it was too late. Yeah, I agree with an earlier comment, some people should be stripped of their districts. "Dying with your rep tool out - the logi-flasher!" Who hasn't been caught by a cute little female scout doing this?
