Since everyone has a b.s. excuse for why they just have to leave maps/battles make Scotty refill the spots. Almost every game I've played today has been 2 to 1. The quitter's make me sick, big corps little corps, solo, your pathetic.

It's hard to be excited for the hotfix when none of it will address this. |

Balancing the game is pointless when matchmaker can't do its job with all the quitting. Retardation paradox. |

No use in making something good if people stupidly keep refusing to use a bad thing.
There are four main races in DUST514: The Amarr, bla, bla, and bla.

Going to post this until I get feedback:
The current problem highlights the risk-free nature of both joining battles and being able to leave them on a whim.
Why not make it so you can only bring X amount of gear to each match, always including Militia Starter BPOs by default (they can't be lost in this example). Lorewise, are you going to bring your WHOLE armory with you to every battle?
- You quit, your stuff goes up for salvage as gear or straight isk value to your team at EoM to help reimburse them for your sorry a$$.
- You lose the battle, you keep what you kill/help kill.
- You win the battle, you keep what you kill/help kill.
This creates four incentives: 1) Buy BPOs to give CCP dosh to risk less gear. 2) Makes quitting hurt the pocketbook & isk-pocketbook 3) Makes an incentive to play a sh!tty match in order to keep your team's deserter's stuff. 4) Puts a downward pressure on metalevel and expenses of gear brought to each match in case you DO end up wanting to leave, or even stay and fight.
Further down the line, you could also set something up in PC where if Corp A launches an offensive against Corp B's armory, you could have some BIG isk value up for grabs if A can only bring their best gear while B gets to throw everything they have at defense.

Honeslty, the leaves are only bad in the high MU tier. When I watch my friend play his games they are always full, and always a fight to the end. One side may lose badly, but they still spawn and try to fight. In my MU bracket, its K/D worried pussies. One death and they are out.
Example Crytic "something" from AE yesterday starts a game sniping with a Thales. Kills two guys after wasting a DS to get on a perch. I snipe him he leaves before his clone bleeds out. *****. He had no intention of playing DUST; just trying to pad. He got butt hurt and punked out.
That's all the high MU bracket is now. Most games end with both teams over 100 clones and one team with 4 players. Like I have said before just remove K/D and maybe some of these losers will grow an Epenis and actually play the game. Until then they will leave. Hopefully they finally get bored and leave the game for good because I want games like my friend has. Not the 15 minutes of just making sure I don't get sniped or shotgunned in the back while waiting for a game to end to make nothing for payout because we killed 13 clones in the enemy team. |
