I know they were being adjusted, mostly because of complaints from drop ship pilots tbh. But far as I knew the only adjustment was how fast they turn and their lock on range. I'm not even sure if the patch is live yet but today I've had pretty bad luck with swarm launchers. Proto swarm, the regular one and yet it seemed to take forever to lock on to things. I was dancing around under full fire of tanks and Drop ships waiting for the box to turn red. Did they also extend the lock on time to swarm launchers?
It just seems like now swarms are good for nothing but LAV's. You have to get so close to a tank you might as well be throwing AV grenades and drop ships are out of range before you get 2 shots. You can rake in the war points with swarms... but your not killing anything. Just a steady stream of 75 points for damaging things you can never seem to finish off.

If you're making vehicles run away, then they aren't being of any use to their team, nor are they earning any points. 175 meters isn't exactly AV grenade range either, it's just the maps are so dense if you're not roaming the empty space around the sockets.
Sounds like the area denial weapon is denying areas, aka, working as intended. |

It's no longer 175m but 150. They bumped it down by 25, and that is just the absolute maxim lock on range. If you want to keep a lock it has to be within that range. If you actually want to fire more than one shot before the vehicle runs away your looking at half that range or less. So basically you might as well chuck 3 AV grenades from that range. It's faster, better chance of killing something and at least it doesn't have a huge visual effect that points out where the AV is coming from like swarms do.
