Rattati, if you lower rof then dps will be lowered as well. Is the intention to lower dps or make the bolt pistol more unwieldy at closer ranges? I rarely see anyone hip fire with it already.
Will you raise bolt pistol damage to maintain dps? |

The magsec has been highly overshadowed by the bolt pistol, and the only guys I see using the magsec currently are heavies. Also, there's no real drawback to the bolt pistol to keep every dropsuit from using it.
Now with a RoF nerf the caldari will have the only bonus to the bolt pistol in reload speed bonus on the caldari assault! Every other suit will likely put it down in favor of their own racial weapons as they will reload it at normal speeds and fire slower.
The appeal for span is gone once you level a weapon out, but I could be wrong! The dmg is still there....
With the bonuses to the dropsuits players can still do well with weapons, but better with racial weapons.
For instance, I will probably still use my smg, but the Ion pistol is where I would benefit more in terms of bonuses... so I have to get both.

This is true to, but with the new buff we may see more magsec use!
