Your proposal to buff all grenades to 600 damage and have splash separating the tiers is a very bad idea. Grenade spam will only get worse if these numbers go through. Instead, let's look at normalizing grenade splash radius, and have damage increase through the tiers. I have provided my numbers in the spreadsheet above.
All grenades of a certain type (base, sleek, packed) have the same radius. Packed do the most damage, sleek do the least, with base in the middle. Splash radius is inverse; sleek have the highest splash, packed have the least, and base again in the middle. This makes each grenade have an advantage and a drawback. It also means the power of the current Core locus is still available, just with less range. It also provides a buff to sleek locus nades which honestly, how often have the been used?
Numbers are negotiable.

I agree. The problem with Cores is that their damage is too high. Grenade damage has a falloff the farther from the center you are, so scores still need to be thrown accurately to kill higher health players. The way things are going, everyone will be growing Cores now, which I can only imagine will lead to more grenade spam.
I'd propose regulating damage around ADV grenade levels. From my experience, they have a solid damage without being OP. A CPM member assured me they're going to watch it, but I think it's better to gradually increase rather than go all in and maybe make it OP.

Dropping core nade's to 500 would have been much smarter. Now half the suit's on the field will drop to a single milita grenade...
Seriously who thought this was a good idea? My confidence in the dev's is at a all time low. Single scouts with basic nade's and a hive will clear rooms full of people solo now. |

I thought that the only thing wrong with cores was that their splash radius was rediculously too high.. 7.2m.
That's getting dangerously close to sleek grenades blast radius...with about tripple the damge? i don't know the exact damage on the sleek to be honest, Just farting out what I always thought about the Cores...
Anyways, I don't think the correct way to fix an OVERPOWERRED ITEM is to make the STD and ADV versions MORE POWERFULL.
