I can understand waiting to so spawn if it was wait to group us all together but we all come out one at a time. Why not just spawn us immediately then so we don't have to waste our lives ten seconds at a time. |

because a kill should result in a tactical advantage. IMO, the respawn is already way too fast. If you are attacking and at the last stage of the encounter (inside the base with the ABC objectives), if there was no respawn timer then killing an enemy would be pointless. They would be right back on top of you in a few seconds. This isn't a K/D based game, it's objective based. |

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree 10 secs is a bit much. I lose patience with 5 secs in BF3, but can understand that amount of delay. 10 secs seem like a little too much advantage in Skirmish. |

This is not a spawn wave counter like in MAG. |

Someone had a really good idea a few weeks ago
Make the counter count *UP*, and have it start counting the moment you suicide "bleed out". That way, you aren't penalized for taking your time selecting a spawn point. If you've waited 10+ seconds, you spawn on the point. |

It seems with the lag and all that we are waiting 13 sec sometimes around 15 at the begining of a match, due to loading the terrain. I'm not sure if that is intentional or not. Theres the unreal engine for you. |

I find the 10 second system annoying, though a lot of the time a saving grace. Killing the last person at a CRU, it takes him more time to re-spawn there than to hack it. Another idea would be to actually have the Attacker's original CRUs or the rear-most Spawn-Point insta-spawn, with the defenders insta-spawning back at base until the relays have been destroyed. |

now that the heretic is out of the way, i hate group spawning. look, I DIED, not me AND some other schmucks, let me spawn when the hell i feel like it! id rather **** around a bit, THEN wait 10 seconds to die, then **** around, and miss the spawn timer, then have to wait another goddamn ten seconds to spawn, only to miss it again because of god knows what... and then it turns into a painful ten second cycle of hate. biggest issue i have with wait with your friends to respawn is sometimes you JUST dont spawn for whatever reason the game god has decided. id rather have hit the spawn me now button, ten seconds be up, me missing to do something, and just going "ah whatever ill wait till next time" then be like "shoot i keep missing that ten second timer!"
in short, **** group spawns. |
