Damage Mods really don't seem to have a stacking penalty when looking at your suit stats...all the way down at the bottom.
The damage multiplier starts at x1.00
When I added 4 Light dmg Mods for my PLC it now showed x1.31
Light damage mods are 7% enhancers.. it should be at x1.28 IF THERE WAS NO STACKING PENALTY
BUT THERE IS A STACKING PENALTY...well, there is supposed to be, so that it should be MUCH LOWER THAN x1.28 in reality..
So instead of implementing a stacking penalty, there seems to be a stacking AMPLIFIER?
What the hell is going on here...?

As far as I know the penalty starts if you equip over 3,but idk I only stack at most 2

No there is a stacking penalty for all amount of modules but a less amount between 1 and 2. Then so on, the more mods on of the same kind it's bigger penalty. Someone made a program if you search in the rookie training grounds. It's a stacking penalty calculator for mods.
Been logi'ing since release. Need to give those needles and self proclaimed king of logi hugs ^-^

There's NO stacking penalty being SHOWN though.
Look at your suit's stats at the damage muliplier section at the bottom.
Now stack one damage mod at a time. Notice how it's actually amplifying rather than being dealt a penalty for the stacking..
This is a BIG problem that is not being talked about at ALL.
CCP, please look into this and fix. Weapons are already powerful without damage mods.. the fact that stacking them is being rewarded helps make sense to why these weapons are tearing clones up in less than 2 seconds.

Time to give an answer:
1st: Because damage mods are additive multipliers, basic mathematics mean that multipliers beyond the first give bonuses to bonuses.
Example with big numbers: Two modules. +50% bonus, which means a multiplier of 1,5.
1 x 1,5 x 1,5 = 2,25 Because they are multiplied. Note that it is NOT just 2,00 even though one might think that "+50% and +50% together are +100%"
So there is no mystery hidden bonus, it is just basic math at work.
2nd: CCP Rattati has on several occasion stated that the stacking penalties DO exist and that the fitting screens numbers have a visual only bug, which just doesn't include penalties. source.
