So one problem with shield tanking is surrending your high slots and the use of damage modifers so you can shield tank. Now this thread is not about shield tanking, but the pros and cons of making certain changes to damage modifiers.
If we make them both a high and low slot, shield tankers can use their lows for damage. However this will mean there will be suits out there with stacks myos and damage modifiers.
If we remove them completely, the already struggling Gal Sent will lose its damage advantage over the other sents, making it almost not viable.
My proposal: Add a new slot called "Medium" Damage mods and mylols are now medium slots. Medium slot amounts are determined by race and role. Allows shield tankers have freed up high slots and damaged, reduces the amount of jumpers, and we can add different types of weapon modifiers later on.
What do you guys think?

Don't be afraid to think different...please note, your idea has merit
but there's more than one way to tackle the issues with damage mods and shield/armor tanking.
One way is by seeing if modules could modify the RoF of weapons...
if so...you could have RoF and Damage mods (at reduced efficacy)...or a combined mod that affects both RoF and Efficacy, to increase overall DPS to the same degree current damage mods do, but with less power given to Alpha-strike weapons.
Other options include modules that increase weapon optimal/falloff range, or mods the decrease dispersion/recoil.
Khanid Logi and Tanker, sometimes AV Heavy or Sniper.

This I like. Also I am the spur of the moment rough idea kind of guy so mine are never refined and few have merit.
And I understand that there is more than one way, one of the reasons I voiced this here on GD and in its own thread to keep the other one for shields.
Sorry I dont have anymore to add been a long day.

I was wondering where the mid slots were when I started this game. EVE has them; Why be different?
There should be one or two mid slots and those mods that go there cost more than others due to their special advantages that would be more for tweaking the suit a little rather than noticably redefining it.

This is literally a copy paste of a previous thread I've seen it too many times. Just the first two posts are probably the same guy responding to himself.
Please kill your idea of ROF mods with fire.
We need different ideas from these ideas entirely, copying and pasting a tired argument will not yield better dust gameplay balance.
You should go take a cold shower put on some music and pick up the controller again when you are calm and not involuntarily spilling all your emotions out on the forum. Maybe come up with a new and better solution but your idea of balance doesn't allow for any rational model to be formed you're literally being brats posting in tons of threads wasting our time trying to brainwash the weaker ones of us. Put it back in your panties. |

.... No.
Assuming you fit the following correctly (pro gal/calas), the caldari has mor shields than the Gallente has armor.
Cal. - Gal 3 extenders. - 2 ferroscale. (Caldari has more shield) 1 recharge. - 2 reps. (Caldari has more rep, even without recharger) 1 damage. - 3 damage ( Gallente has more damage)
I don't feel a problem with them anyways.
Although if they were to be added, shouldn't idk ewar and biotics go there too??
