I am fairly new to running the Gallente Sentinel and I am looking for some fitting advice. I am using the GalSent for "stand and deliver"/point defense.
What are some good fittings for the Gallente Sentinel? |

What made you choose Gal sent over the others?

I only run Gallente. I am now proto in all Gallente Suits. |

The fitting I use works both in a squad and in solo:
1x Krins Damage Modifier 1x Complex Heavy Damage Modifier
1x Complex Repair Module 1x Complex Reactive Plate 1x Complex Armour Plate
Boundless HMG Breach SMG Core Locus Grenade
The Krin's can be replaced with another Heavy Damage modifer if you.

Nice! I'd be really impressed if by "all Gallente Suits" you mean all basic suits as well!
I have yet to skill the heavies, but I have the rest of gal at proto. I'm considering heavies now and the lure of being Gallente purist is strong. But the min heavy has much appeal. The militia min heavy served me very well before I skilled gallass.
I'm so conflicted!

The Gallente are armor tankers, damage, speed, and rep tankers. So, for max effectiveness, fit 1 kincat, 1 ferroscale, and 1 rep, with 2 krins mods. For hmg, I'd go with the assault to attack at range and to let the tips kick in and shine.

I do not have the basic suits skilled up. I started to skill up the basic assault suit so that I could run with 2 equipment items but I ended up not liking the suit; most likely I became too accustomed to the Gallente Assault Suit bonus. |

I don't know how I feel about putting a Kinetic Catalyzer on a Sentinel. I am going to have to try it out to see how it is but I feel like the Sentinel is going to be slow with or without the KinCat. |

That's not stand and deliver, thats slighty faster but still slow as dirt with no armor and barely any reps delivered

Well, it's a beast when I use it. And really packs a punch.

But the HMG doesn't have high damage for the mods to take a significant boost. It could work better by using Forge Guns. How would jumping mods work here? Lol.
As for the lows I'd put 3 armor reps and be a self sufficient fatty. |

I played a match last night using a mlt gallhev with mlt hmg, a cpx damage mod and a cpx rep. Did very well. I can see how sacrificing raw armor for a rep would work very well on a sent. I was able to duck behind cover and heal up on my own. I'll definitely be looking into Gal sent now.

I was thinking the same thing about the Damage Mods and how it would affect the Boundless HMG. I am creating two Sentinel fits; one will have the Boundless HMG with shield extenders in the high slots and the other is going to have the Freedom Assault HMG with Damage Mods in the high slots. |

2 dmg (krin's or cmp depending on gk.o or atlas) 2 plates (2 enh/ 2 basic) 1 cmp rep Flux grenade Assault hmg Sidearm of choice (for me smg, ion, or bolt)
For pc point defence and with logi support I'll use, if I remeber correctly, 2 cmp plates and 1 enh plate to stand up against the amarr
It's also fun to run 2 kin cats and 1 cardiac regulator for entry into maps like the meat grinder or lab doms to stop the initial push. It's most often times faster than waiting for a link. |
