I don't know if it's a x8 skill but I would say demolitions is pretty sad. Higher level explosives don't really do much more than the basic, cost a ton more and are harder to fit. The only difference between proto proximity explosives and the basic is you can put down 6 of them at once instead of 4.
Sure you can also put down mines from each category, just like remotes but meh.
As for remotes they do a little more dmg, but the basic is enough to kill most Drop suites and the bonus 300-500 dmg or so to proto level doesn't make much of a difference on harder targets like vehicles. Not if you consider the high cost of running proto explosives. On a suite that has a high chance of dying due to how risky it is to fling remotes around.
I don't there has ever been a ADS that terrorizes a team with any competent player on it. My tank can literally 2 shot an ADS even with it's hardeners on. My Swarms are EZ-mode dropship destruction and Incubus. How OP are swarms compared to ADS, let's just say, it's as OP as if Thales Sniper had autoaim headshots.

10% total damge right? defiantly worth it for dedicated pilots and coupled with the extra ROF it can be a devastating combo add in a heat sink or damge mod and you have yourself something special
now correct me If i am wrong but I am fairly certain each gives a respective damge bonus to their designated turret (rail for incubus and missiles for python)
No damage bonus, just a RoF bonus and truthfully- if you're flying around with damage mods and or heat sinks- you're just asking to get swarmed to death.
BTW- I fly my ADS on two characters, one has level 5 python and one character has level 0 python. I cannot tell the difference other than the fact that with a 2.5 mil sp investment got me a couple more missiles for max ammo.
Also, i would like to point out there is not an ADS in this game that can overwhelm even a averagely fitted tank. Attack a madrugar with your tiny rail and it will rep right through it and if you attack a gunnlogi- you're gonna have attack it for at least 2-3 minutes.
