I always loath watching people try to give Amarr/ Holy Crusading type factions melee weapons........
Goddamnit people every classical Empire in the history of everything has been build on the back of the humble infantryman armed with the spear.
Consider that the combat doctrines of Amarr focuses on attrition, static and inflexible blocs of soldiers, and striking with extensive reach and raw force behind the proverbial 'thrusting counter attack'.
