CCP,i hope you aren't falling for all the 'nerf scanners' threads.
It's obviously a coordinated effort by a few players with disposable ALTs.
Simply skim the posts and you'll see basically copy+pasted responses.
We sat through an onslaught like this before 1.8,and scouts became unbearable.
Now they're trying to use assaults as an excuse.

Who cares if you're being permascanned?
Saying you want to get rid of scanners is like saying "lets get rid of rep tools, uplinks, and nanohives/injectors"
As a self sufficient heavy I don't appreciate the scrubs who need to have a Rep tool or 5 jammed up their ass just to survive a 1v1. How about we get rid of those?
Lets get rid of uplinks. I don't think it's fair that people can spawn all over the map or that they can be booby trapped by RE's.
Nanohives? HA Go to a supply depot if you want ammo.

But that's exactly what the community does when they want something changed. They try to make it seem like it's a good idea because they're mad that it is inconvenient in certain situations to them (personally). Later on the thing in question gets buffed again. It's unnecessary and a waste of time when CCP could be doing something productive like.....bug fixes, lag fixes, porting.
History just keeps repeating itself over and over again, enough is enough.
If people have an issue with being scanned, do something about it with mods. Would I like to have more armor or more speed on a few of my fits? Sure, but I use ewar mods. The issue isn't the scanners. It's one part ewar mods and their under performance, one part CCP, and one part the community with their constant nitpicking over personal inconveniences.

OP, if Active Scans were what kept the Scouts in check, why did it take passive EWAR changes and cloak nerfs to balance them?
By your logic, they already should not have been a problem with the 15 dB scans, but Scout spam didn't decrease until the cloak blindness and EWAR circles were put in place. Those happened well after the Gal Logi bonus to scans.
Your argument demonstrates a complete lack of logic regarding cause and effect.

You can't counter permascanning with mods without severely gimping your dropsuit.
Scanners need to be limited to one per person. If a team wants to permascan they should be required to have multiple people with scanners coordinating together to make that happen.
