I am new to the forum so I am not sure if this has been suggested before...probably has but I would like to suggest it again. The two doors in your room that lead to nowhere can be put to use.
The first idea I have is to connect one door to a corporation lobby, one meant just for the corporation where corporation members can hang out. People can just get teleported into it by clicking the door. In the corp building, it will have the basic things you have in the room as well as more. It could have mini games members can play as well as a training simulator. The training simulator can have modes. One mode can be you practicing to shoot and other things as well as learning the basics of the game. Another mode can be that members will be divided into teams to fight each other in the modes offered by the game. Those who participate in it gain some ISK but not much. But to keep this from having members participate in the training simulation all day thereby dulling down other online activities, training will only be offered for 2 hours a day or once a week.
You can take it a step further but I don't see this happening. You can have it so that the corporation building is a giant space ship. It gets bigger depending on how much members there are in that corporation. The spaceship will have lots of doors like you will see in apartments and every member will be assigned to a door on the ship. For starters, the spaceship will have one floor and that floor will house 100 members and in the middle of it will be the meeting room where you get to play and train. When a member joins, they are assigned to a door. A green light will show the room is occupied. Members fill up the room in order...the first member gets the first room, second member gets the second room and so on. If someone gets kicked out, the next person down the line will fill the spot, so let's say member 45 gets kicked out, member 46 will take his room, then member 47 will take 46's room and so on. The door you are assigned to teleports you from your room to the ship and from the ship to the room, and to keep things from getting crowded, your room stays on its own sever instead of loading it in with the ship. Each corporation begins with 1 floor and 100 room, and when it reaches 101 members, one more floor is added to the ship making it bigger. Then at 201 another floor is added and so on. And if you lose members, it shrinks back down.
This way you can do more in the game and interact with other members of your corporation, or just roam an an empty corporation ship instead of your tiny room when you want a little break from fighting.
Another suggestion I have is to create one or a few small maps. A big map does sound like a good idea but from the time I started playing, I have been a bit bothered by the size of some maps...might just be me. I find myself running for minutes without coming into contact with any enemy then all of a sudden I am in enemy territory. Then when I get killed, I have to run all the way back there again, and to capture object D I have to run all the way across the map. Might be nice to have one very small map where vehicle are disabled and people spawn in a random location of the map.
Those are just some ideas I have, tell me your thoughts about it. |

Yeah I figured it was something like that but I wanted to make sure of it. Seeing as the game as been around for sometime, I am sure the Devs have thought about it or have got similar suggestions. I still think it could be done, well a smaller version. Just give the corporation a larger version of the lobby we already have or make it so we can access the rest of the lobby and put extra stations for mini games and training....I think the lobby as it is can even work and just toss in the corporation's flags and emblems in there along with some extra stations. Anyway thanks for the replies from both of you and I will stay tune for info about the power cores, seems interesting. |
