So far I think the game is good, still needs some work and will be overwhelming to most instant gratification console players. That's definitely a plus but the one thing I don't get is the noob arrow over my head saying here I am behind this rock waiting to ambush you or here I am as I trying to flank someone. It's bad enough there is a map that shows your position so why do we need an extra red arrow over our heads that can be seen through objects? How is this helping make this game tactical? Please get rid of the red arrow over enemies heads and make this game more tactical as it's supposed to be, not like all those other dumb downed shooters. Make people actually work together and use mics like it should be and on that note don't forget the options individual mute for the annoying mic users. |

That should only be there if someone on the opposite team, or one of that teams installations, can see you.
If you were flanking someone, and NO ONE on the enemy team could see you (including installations), there is no arrow over your head.
This is how it is from what I understand. If the arrow is appearing when no one can see you, then this is just a bug to be ironed out. It's most noticeable when looking at the overhead map as a whole. You will see indicators of your teammates and the enemies they are engaging. When the enemy kills your teammate, their symbol disappears off the map. |

I understand how it works Ren, but thank you anyway. I just think it's an added casual gamer feature when this game is supposed to be hardcore and tactical. Make people communicate instead of adding this passive automatic feature, There is already a red nametag over my head, why do we need an extra red arrow pointing down at us that can be seen through solid objects when the mini map already gives our location just for being in someones FOV with no player action? That's all I'm saying. I was happy there was no aim assist in this game so why noob this aspect of the game? |

Dust is meant to be played by hardcore and casual players, in battlefield you only see a spotted character if he is in your line of site.wich I feel would be good in dust as being able to see spotted enmities through walls is kinda lame imo. |

I'm hoping at some point there will be a dropsuit mod for scouts, some type of scanner. Relays info (what he sees) to teammate's HUD.
Perhaps a counter to cloaks, if those are put in.

CCP has an eye on the kiddies wanting quick and easy games, run and gun crowd.
I thought it was going to be "hardcore" as you, but I believe probably this is not the case, its not "suposed" to be that way.
I hope the game drift more in his direction as it moves thru development and get some things right.
That said, I like the spoted mechanic, at least no where enemy and foe are just identical giving no visual clue about who's who.

how about if you want to spot someone you do something similar to BF3, where you hit the select/spot button. And the team that utilizes that gameplay mechanic profits from the benifits of having a red arrow above some enemy players name. Use it or lose it. |
