First I thought a port to PC would be best as there won't be a need to another port that way, but the main problems that make me prefer a port to PS4 are hacks. The game would get hacked and filled with aimbots & wallhacks players. It would die like many FPS before because CCP won't be efficient enough to protect it.

For that unique reason I prefer a port to PS4. All you "PC master race" guys need to get a brain and make it think. Moreover, you're insulting yourselves by calling "peasants" console players.

How many years of silence before you all get the hint?

I doubt hacking the client in a game where everything is done via the server would make a significant difference, i mean look at planetside, that works the same way and i've never seen or heard of it get hacked in a way that allows aimbots and wallhacks.

I'd prefer a PC port. 1 don't own ps4, 2.... What happened when the ps4 is near its and and ps5 will come out? Another port? No. Just port to PC and problem solved.

If you send modified data to server, you will be able to do whatever you want. It's exactly he same thing in the end, just a bit more tricky. But PC games have much more people willing to spend time to develop these hacks than on consoles. Console hacks are more rare. Knowing CCP, they would fail at protecting dust from these hacks and the game would disappear in few months.

So what you people are saying is that you don't care about the quality of a game as long as your a fan of that game ... it doesn't matter how it performs or how it can ruin whatever platform that it's on ?

Dust is the only game that makes my PS3 hard freeze , I play Defiance ( another F2P game ) and that game runs 100 times better then Dust 514 , I don't have to deal with warping , terrain glitches , hit detection ... shall I go on about the issues that plague Dust 514 .?. CCP is taking their time about this game because they must have realized where they went wrong from their initial approach and now since that time their willing to take responsibility for their previous mistakes and take a more " adult " approach about how they handle this game , more adult then most of you with that " I want it now !!! " , mentality all the while stomping your feet like little schoolyard children , making threads trying to " guilt trip " CCP into making another mistake .

I commend them for taking their time but not only that , keeping silent because people expect too dam much , as you can see from this thread .

I expect this type of behavior from kids an such but you adults that act this way , hell ... that says a lot about you personally and I for one would expect better from an adult , how are you teach your children or better yet what .?. to expect the world in this microwave age , unwilling to compromise , not have patience or think things out from a perspective of both sides the pro's and con's among other things that an adult should already know with age and experience .

No wonder this world is so screwed and it's not getting better .

Exactly. "PC Master Race" was okay when it was a rallying cry against companies that would only release console ports, but this whole superior attitude thing needs to stop.

This game had a very dedicated community on PSN, and that's where I believe it should stay. Besides, we aren't going to be hearing anything about a PlayStation 5 for a LOOOOOOONG damn time.

PC players love the hate from consolers. They marinate in the tears. You should have seen the forum posts on EVE when DUST was announced as moving to console. Consolers, you get no respect and the reasons mentioned I can now say are largely well deserved.

You don't get that problem on a console. Security is as easy as running a scan of the files to see if anything is out of place.

Dust was originally announced as a console game back in 2009. They never mentioned a target platform before that presentation.
