I have been playing EVE since 2007 , and I love Amarrian Design because of this I would like to see more Amarr weaponry in Dust.
The two weapons I feel would fit the bill would be :
Amarr Pulse Assault rifle and Amarr Beam Sniper rifle
I believe there would be two different ways to approach ammunition for these weapons:
A- Use of energy cells to power the weapon ( which would deplete by a percentage after every shot and need to be replaced). - Like Normal Ammo
B- Or to embrace the true philosophy of Amarr the weapon would work off a capacitor system which would take time to recharge once empty with a diminishing returns system. (If the player choses to fully empty the capacitor it takes (X) time to recharge. If the player stops at 50% it takes (X) x2 to recharge and so on.)
Also another mechanic which I believe would make it more tactical and add a new dynamic to it would be Weapon Crystals:
Radio - Long range / Low damage.
Standard - Normal Range / Normal Damage.
Gamma - Short Range / High Damage.

But there's already the laser rifle under the weapons section which means that they've at least already been planned, just not implemented yet. |

Thats probably why they haven't got them done yet....they likely take a different mechanic and have to have a seperate coding.
I am also looking forward to seeing the implementation of lasers in this game. |

I have had a good look but cant find anything in fourms:
But in long run i hope they try to reflect all race and there weaponry as close to EVE and that means interchangeable Ammo for all races - on the field ( Like you can today in real theatres of war) . |

That would kind of be a total waste of time and a nightmare to balance. I have a feeling that pulse rifles will behave identically to assault rifles with a different model and effect.
It seems the current assault rifle is a Gal model with Minmatar projectile ammo, where are my hybrid blaster effects? |

As far as i can tell it is a blaster not a projectile if you look at a wall fire at it, it just seems to burn the wall with little to no penitration this would also explain the damage fall off that apea to happen i cant tell if this damage falloff is due to inaccuray at range to be honest but it seems the are cinsiderably less efective at range just like a gallentee blaster where as a minitar autocannon would not have the same damage fall off often doing decent hits well beyond the point that a bblaster would simply miss |
