A player run bank?
Imagine a player run corporation that is actually a bank for your isk. It's is run by multiple well known players (for trust reasons).
What it could do- store your money and give you loans, assist new players with isk, more loans. Stuff like that.
pros- large pool of isk that can be used for something instead of isk going to npc corps.
Cons- chance of a "bad apple" taking your isk, OR lending a loan to someone and that player not paying back.
Why I thought this? Idk I just thought it would be nice to hear what people think about it before I disband my corp

A great idea that I think have been suggested before. But the bank, depending who is the president of it and other people in charge, could deceive other players, new to the game or naive, even just nice people. Also, the bank could also be a victim of a dirty player asking a loan.
Even tough its a nice idea, there should be some safety in this, a way to get the bank to give the money back when the time comes and the players to pay their loans (and by the way, who would actually need a loan?) |

So yeah- I was going to disband my Corp but I then decided to leave it incase I come back and to use it like a personal bank. So I though, why not make my Corp a big bank for dust.
Now yes what you said is bad about people not paying loans. But it wouldn't be a complete loss as to be in te bank, there would have to a mail(application- not Corp application) sent and pre deposited money. Let's say that person decides to borrow x money and not pay back? Well, there would be a limit to how much is loaned forts off- second, idle that were to happen, we would still have isk they left. It would be complex but that's exactly why I'm asking for y'alls opinion. I might do this with my Corp instead of leaving. Idk.

if your going to disband your corp, could you help me gather CP for a player-made event? The joining fee will be 600k ISK (for the event) but CP gatherers get in free and get a nice lump sum of ISK depending on how much CP they made!

There could be some kind of system where you give x amount of isk to a player that asks for isk, but not more than that. After he pays back, the amount of total isk given to this certain player could be higher next time, in case he needs more. So, everytime that a player pains the loan, the quantity of isk he can ask for is higher.
Of course, for the idea of the bank to work as a real bank there should be some compensation. Like 3-5% of the money they asked. Only in loans, not the money the put in the bank as a saving. |

Thing is that school just began and I can j my play Saturday's now and whenever I have off. That's to say that the max I could get in a week is only 1k cp.
go to the locker room > barbershop > last page...we are discussing it. It will most likely be around 2200-0300 on a weekend |

I would agree, but I am not a fan of your current corps name. If you made a bank, it would have to have bank in the name.

A bank with no real oversight or conquences to wrong doing is not a legitimate institution. Look at the Obama government (better known as the former U.S. government).
Now, if you'll put me in charge of said bank I will make sure everything goes according to plan.
