Caldari: Railgun Gallente: Blaster Caldari: Forge Gun Gallente: .... The only other infantry AV weapon that we have is a Swarm Launcher, which is very effective against armor, but not shields. The Forge Gun is techniically a Hybrid, but stronger towards Armor (I'm pretty sure the Caldari didn't want to be destroying their own tanks either lol). There's some type of weird balance that's like Shield Vehicles are awesome when fighting AV because of resistance to the AV weapons, but theoretically sucks vs another vehicle's blasters in terms of survival (of course we're ignoring skill of the pilot/driver). i.e charge up time and accuracy vs Full-Auto Turret able to maneuver without worrying about accuracy. But armor vehicles are just better because they can fit stuff like a double hardener and can drive around with infinite hardeners and run away to safety. Shield Vehicles have booster which take their resistance to our AV now, and brings it down even further. It's difficult to take down shield vehicles and even have a gimmick way of getting taken down (One flux strike + Swarm/FG = Easy Destruction). We need an AV weapon that can fight against shield based vehicles the same way our AV fight armor vehicles. When my dropsuit is broken and rusted off, I'll pick up the pieces and blanket the fallen. I was even holding the extra-strength clue bat, too. WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

I forgot to mention this is mostly regarding aircraft. There is no mysterious airship immunity to plasma canon, but I would agree it is not as easy as lock, fire and admire. However, I wonder if I could ask about Gallente and Amarr heavy weapon development in this thread ?

You can ask, but bluntly, unless Rattati has news he wants shared about said things, there's really nothing to report besides the usual wish list about such things. And I've killed dropships with a PLC before. it's just a pain in the ass timing and pulling it off. WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. Shield vehicles have much lower health and regen than armor, so making shield AV with similar stats to armor plus their anti-shield bonus would wrek shield vehicles. If they were more balanced then they'd be only good against shield vehicles and not armor. Armor AV is very potent to armor and shield, so using it you're covered against both and wouldn't need the shield AV. We'd have to redo the stats for current AV plus armor mods (at least heavy repairers and hardeners). Dust is there! I was real! Dear diary, Rattati senpai noticed me today~

The whole reason I usually fly a python over an incubus is so that I have better resistances to AV. Why would I bother if a python is as vulnerable to AV as an incubus. It would make it far less interesting. Specialization: Making typo's.
