Personally I would like to be filled in about the innovations and work being put into the future of this game before I start shoveling money into the furnace.
Anyone else feel this way?

Every dollar spent is a vote to stay on PS3. Unfortunately many would have you believe that it is a vote to go to PS4.

So, do you have a reference you can point me to that with substantiate your claim?

Quote:In a market economy, purchases of goods and services are evidence that demand for those items exists among those with liquid wealth. If potential sellers infer from these transactions that such demand will persist, then they may be motivated to provide the same goods in the future and to compete for future sales by attempting to offer such goods at competitive prices.[2][3]
Some economists believe that consumer sovereignty rarely occurs, because these conditions[clarification needed] are rarely met. Rarely do consumers get what they want; consumers get what they are offered.[4] On the other hand, some economists believe that consumer sovereignty would be realized in a free market economy without interference from government or other non-market institutions.[5]
So the simple question becomes why would CCP spend millions of dollars to enter an arena that they have zero guaranteed customer base when we are gladly sitting here telling them we will hang on to our PS3s and keep giving them money. Even getting those of us willing to spend the money on a PS4 would have that spending offset by the purchase of the PS4 itself.

What possible incentive does CCP have to work on a port when players continue to pay for Dust 514 on the current platform? CPM1 informed us that Dust 514 is now a profitable venture for CCP, right? If that is the case then they will provide us with patches and hotfixes at the same tempo we are currently enduring until they are forced to do otherwise. If the profits reach a specific goal then CCP Shanghai might get a new hire or two, but that's it.
When the money printer runs out of ink they will be forced to determine how to turn a profit again, finally realize a port is needed, then work towards that goal.

I believe we will be here until PSN is totally shut down. The model they have switched the game to is pretty well proven to continue to milk people for money as long as it is online.

Honestly I am ok with spending money on what we have right now in hopes that CCP will improve further on the good work they have done over the last 6 months or so.
I would really like to see them try and polish up on old bugs and glitches. Also lets not forget that as much as we love the game as-is ...... we are still "missing" vehicle racial variants and the full racial line up of weapons and turrets etc...
Plenty more to do in this game. How about the DK store?

Who loves the game " as-is " .?. while it's tolerable and the foundation of the storyline functions well as a compliment of EVE , the game leaves a lot to the imagination in the form of , what if these bugs and glitches didn't exist ?
We probably wouldn't even be talking about a port if that was the case as well as the fact of a port being that much easier as well .
Right now it's just not fiscally worth the effort until the functionality of the game is better then it is at the moment .
They would just be in an ever greater hole , in a " next gen " setting and falling further behind by being overwhelmed by all the new titles , the community just wouldn't be able to keep this game afloat and I just don't see too many buying a PS4 just for Dust and if or when they did and started to play the other titles , in the end , the other content would take over .
I hope they realize that they shouldn't be content with things " as-is " and the fact is , they have work to do before even thinking about a port .
I don't love the game " as-is " and I wouldn't download Dust to my PS4 for it to start giving my console problems that didn't exist before .
All interested in that can have that , I don't need the drama .
