I really do hope to see this game do better. A great concept. I do hope you read and were able to understand the so badly needed changes I covered in my post.
To over look my post, and to ignore the content is a sure way to close the DUST 514 chapter. I hope that does not happen. I would like to come back, but not until real changes are acknowledged. By this I DO NOT mean brighter skies, do hickies blinking, brighter yellow suits.
I mean maps, OP, communication, battle server, refunds, support, you know the REAL stuffs.
I honestly believe that catering to a couple thousand new players will bring more to you than catering to 0uter.Heaven/inner hell and all of their shell corps.
Or is this just a write off deal for EvE support on your end? Sometimes showing a loss is required to maintain the whole and I understand that. I just wish you would offer us more honest information. People must not be spending money on Aurum, I suspect that is why you are now giving it away at log in. Willing to bet when you get it together people will buy it again. I bet. |

Sounds reasonable don't you think? You should write a thread about this in the new features and ideas section, that's good stuff although might be problematic since some corps have EVE characters as CEOs There already is a voting system in place. You just have to do it from eve online since the whole corporation and alliance schematic was derived from there. You must have shares of corp to start a vote.
I think CCP need to focus on current issues before sending them off on new features. Don't you see they currently believe glitter and shimmer is more important than getting into battles, eliminating sticky map spots, and crazy side arms, not too mention ridiculous flying clones. Let's give them some time to solve the mess currently created.

Names get changed because that's simple code- AFAIK it's only caps that get sorted, and that sort of change would be easy in the database. Yes, the speech bubble glitch exists, and I'm sure it'll get sorted sometime.
I get your frustration, but venting at CCP isn't going to change anything.
we dont have Eve Onlines corp mechanics. eve players can vote out their CEOs when they need to |

I wish I could change my Corp ticker.  I completely screwed mine up. Turns out there is no "That ticker is available, do you want to use it Yes/No" prompt. I tried like 15 different letter combinations, and then I typed in Mesage (dropping one of the S's from Message) and it dropped the last character and my Corp got the Tag MESAG which makes no sense. It sucks. If I had been prompted weather or not to accept this ticker I would have selected "NO".
 My Corp will be two years old on Monday, and I have hated me Ticker since Day 1. 
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

Well the BoB, also known as the Band of Brothers alliance was a major player in the nullsec space, they got infiltrated by some "hired hitmans" that played with them for years reaching high sits in the aliance hierarchy. One day in the early 2009 they kicked every single corp from the alliance, stole all the money and destroyed the alliance's leader unique ship woth over 1000$ in real money, then even hijacked the name BoB so the alliance won't be able to reform under the same name. The general opinion is that all of what I described above was planned by the Goonswarm alliance since the traitors defected to their side afterwards

Just a question out of curiosity: what if you are the CEO of a corporation, but an Eve player detains 100% of the share of said corporation? In my corp we often used this method in order to speed up pretty much anything, and because the guy with 100% share was absolutely trusted, but what would happen if this is not the case? Could you guys be able to interfere with that? Or would it just be a "Welcome to Nw Eden"?

that is an absolute welcome to new eden. Unfortunately there is no mechanic to stop that.
This is why when we use an alt to bring someone into our alliance we offer to stream on twitch so that the CEO knows his shares remain intact.

In all seriousness though? The difference is that the person making the request for a name change has complete in-game control of their character, whereas anyone who isn't the CEO does not have full in-game control of a corporation. Depriving an active account (presumably Quickgloves?) of their corp through GM action is a huge breach of the internal "sandbox" ground rules.

You need to have at least one of the corporation's shares to initiate a vote. QG almost certainly owns all of STB's.
