We have had our first CPM2/CCP meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to get the members of CPM2 up to speed on all subjects relevant to holding office and as such contained heavy levels of NDA subject matter.
Even so it was universally agreed by the members of CPM2 that we wanted to let the community know we've officially entered start of term.
We look forward to working with the community and CCP to continue improving, and hopefully expanding Dust 514.
While most of the content of the meeting is NDA the members of CPM2 are cautiously optimistic about the current state of things. If we, and the rest of the community, can help facilitate development intent becoming in game reality it will be a good day for players throughout Dust.
There will be hurdles to address throughout the process, and disagreements to be hammered out, and we hope all of you will choose to participate constructively in the CPM feedback threads that will be coming as part of this process, as well as contacting any of us directly with your input.

Post Script: I quick follow up note, while I will be posting CPM updates - composed and agreed upon by the members of the CPM - in my capacity as Chairmen I would like to be clear upfront that these are statements from the CPM as a whole, and further that individual members of the CPM may at times very well additionally post their own individual take meetings et al
CPM2 as a group has been very intent on communication as a key aspect of the upcoming term.

The answer is yes.
The more useful answer is, all members of CPM 2 - save Kirk who had to work during the times in question, but who is up to speed due to notes and conversations - combined with CCPs Frame, Rattati, and Rouge.

It was a productive meeting in so much as the new members of the CPM are up to speed now with myself and Cross as to what's happening at CCP's Shanghai office.
We've already made a start on some internal discussion threads in our private forum with CCP on various issues that arose from that meeting which unfortunately are NDA.
But we also pressed CCP further with the need for greater communication whenever its possible, the CPM are fully behind that and will continue to prod CCP with sharp sticks. It's how we show we care.

Please use those skills to get CCP to provide an update on what DK is going to do? It is the strong box situation again, I started using DK to wallpaper rooms. Just saying, that all the effort made into the currency and it is fizzling hard. Small request for the PC CPM. I would settle for direction.

I voted for every one of you. I'm really excited about this year. So much potential. Is that how you feel?
But, I'm torn. Because there is this looming cloud casting a great shadow over the bright future.
And I'm quite conflicted. Since Ratatti took over I've come back to DUST. I want to contribute to this community, game, and everything we can contribute the time, effort and money it will take to build.
But investing in empty promises is something I've become wary of over the past couple of years.
And the more someone is convincing me to stay, play and pay without reassurance that we will all be able to do so into the future... that makes me concerned.
How should I proceed? What wisdom can you offer?

More importantly, has CCP hinted that they will or already have started to put together a plan for a PC and/or PS4 port?
I don't want all the details. That much is not really expected anyways. The community just wants to know where the game will be going to in the future once the PS3 has begun to lose support from Sony.

I am cautiously optimistic. While I am unable to provide iron clad assurances of anything (which I am sure will not shock you) and do not want to overstate my case, I can say directly and simply that I am more optimistic about the future of the game now than I was at the start of my CPM 1 term.
The details are things I am not at liberty to delve into, and there are things that I would hope transpired which are as yet uncertain, but despite the hurdles still to face my sense that the game will survive is much stronger now than at previous times.
On balance I would advise to invest no more time or money than is satisfying to you within the context of the information given to you as I am loath to tell anyone to make choices in the absence of relevant information/context for their choices, but if you may find my own current impressions useful I would summarize them as "cautiously optimistic".

Unfortunately I am limited from any direct reply on the subject. It is clear to the Dust team that the community would like more information and it is my personal impression that while CCP has adopted a more reserved stance company wide regarding any announcements that are not deemed to be solid, I do believe that the Dust team will happily provide any announcement regarding the possible future for Dust 514 if/when they are in a position to do so.
More specific details such as "what does in a position to do so mean?" and "how reserved is reserved" etc while clearly pertinent to the topic at hand are simply beyond the limits of my knowledge and/or liberty in this matter. I wish that I could provide a more meaningful update but I hope that the above is of at least some value.

To some extent I'd almost say it is a testament to the patience CCP Rattati can display that he has yet to slap me up side the head in response to my rather frequent reminders on the communication front. I am confident that the message has been received.

I think you have stated the position for CCP on the port better than I could ever hope.
Normal players need to be aware that any statement about a port will have a negative reaction by:
1. Those not willing to invest in a new system
2. Those who are not willing to play PC games
That will alienate some player base with any announcement. I stated this all in a post earlier. The forum trolls scream for something they do not really want.
Acknowledging their noise won't make them go away, only that they need to be louder to get their way.
I wish they would learn to shut up and take silence as contemplation.
At least as a CPM you have stated "There is a plan." and "They don't want to make players mad."

I'm not 100% certain but I believe it is still involved in a tech sweep and as such wouldn't be in a position to be patched into the game until after the next patching cycle. I don't know all the details here, as I'm not a computer engineer, so take it with a grain of salt, however I do believe it's still on the table so to speak.
