i dont mind it if it was a player caused action but why are enemy players spotted 24/7 with red "V's over their heads? i suggest removing the red indicators to better the stealth element of the game and maybe make teammates name plates bigger to make it stand out that way if you do see someone without it, you'll know hes not your ally(enemy name plates could only show when cross hairs are on them) |

Spotted as opposed to striped I guess one is no better or worse than the other.
Get familiar with the game mechanics, all 16 players are not exposed all of the time, there are reasons and there are ways to expose enemies. I think there are ways to scan for them as well. |

My experience with the beta so far suggests it's very similar to NS (Natural Selection). In NS any enemy in an area directly in front of a teammate (without an obstruction in the way) is shown on all your teammates maps.
Whether that's the case in DUST or not I spend most of my time sneaking around the other teams back area, and with the frequency I sneak past enemy players I'm pretty sure I'm not on their maps all the time. |

IMO, our suits should help determine how far we see and where we see too. (Rocks) Also radar installations in the future that we can drop down to see how our enemies are moving will be a great feature. |

I like the system the way it is. Also scout dropouts have some stealth that heavily reduces being spotted. It makes you think about your decisions and all that jazz. |

I asked about this at Fanfest and they said it was to help beta testing and should be reduced later on down to actual line-of-sight and scanners. |

i like to think of this as shared information. If one guy sees him, so will everyone else. Though sometimes it does feel very random to me. |

The spotting system seems to have a habit of spotting a enemy if you point in there general diretion i think it should be made manual battlefield style it will make for less free intel and give scouts a real reason other than strafing, i also think that if a character is spotted manulay it should give info to the squad mabye a siloete?? and just act as ordinary tag for rest of team mabye then spotting could become a points source which would lead to the use of spotting as support role to your squad mabye this incorperated with a UAV style of drone, it would allow for teams to be effective at behind enemy lines ops, this could be counerbalenced by modules that perhaps make it harder for trrops to spot or even scramble enemy intel link to you and squad mates. |

If no one said anything because it was a beta there would be nil feedback, beta is just the right time to bring stuff like this up |

I personally like the Dust spotting system. Its the same as BF but you don't have to spam the select button all the time to do it. It helps compensate for bad teammates so at least they are contributing intel. |

It's pretty nice though that in Battlefield 3 you get points for actually spotting an enemy. I would like that here too. |

i'm with the OP. would love to see passive spotting done with our targeting reticle instead of flooding our UI with everything our teammates see.
lets bring some of the guesswork back instead of knowing whats around every corner. |
