i remember a while back the dev posted a spread sheet of the top performing weapons and dropsuits in PC and they used that information to nerf or buff certain things. from what i have noticed is there are few heavys in PC now a days. assaults seem to be most peoples choice mainly running with the top gun assault rail rifle. ADS seem a little under powerd and tanks are kind of gimped. the bons shotgun may be a little broken as it probably gives the greatest advantage out of all the officer weapons. bolt pistol seems kind of powerful and the scrambler pistol is a rare sight in PC. have not seen the Tac AR in a long time as the rail rifle seems to outshine it. nova knives are not as big to not sure if they were nerfed. commando suits in general are only used on high ground due to the suits horrible regen and large hitbox making it still ineffective at ground based combat. combat rifle seems to be not used much not sure if it had been nerfed.

Please watch blanket statements like this. It's not just that.
Over the year rattati has shared several metrics he uses to determine what needs a nerf/buff.
To include:
Overall kill/spawn
Average PC K/D/usage
Sales metrics
TTK
Location on intended damage curves
Usage statistics.
Probably more.
Making blanket statements about PC stuff as THE justification is as misleading as saying market sales popularity is THE justification can be misleading and lead to bad conclusions.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

well the PC information was what i was looking for. i am not asking for any buffs or nerfs i am just curious to the PC metrics and meta trend. and yes they did use that PC information as a peace of their formula to nerf and buff things along with other factors and information.

I'd be interested in this information as well. I think the reason you don't see many tac ARs or CRs in PC is that inconsistent frame rates tend to harm the performance of semi-autos more than similar automatic weapons. The tac AR is actually my go to weapon if I happen to be assigned to an exterior point(s) and I'm not lagging at all. |

ShortGun with a magical AA that make u hit a target even though your aim is totally off.
It is an only one weapon that give u advantage under any circumstances whether lag or not.
As we all know more than a year, AA on this gun broke, and CCP has no idea how to fix it (same as other glitch lol).

AgimusMD, BonsSG, AlldinsFG, Alex/GastunHMG are the most common officer weapons in PC. Player trading makes these so accesible that I have seen mercs die 10+ times using them ...
Myofib MinAssaults are pretty common or just myofib Assaults in general. + Explosive spam.. myo's + boomstick = WIN
AScR/ARR probaly the most common rifles..
Min+Gal logi are a lot more useful than Am/Cal...
^^ These are imo the overperformers we have in PC.
Though balance is quite good there is no real FOTM currently.. at least not in dropsuits.. (maybe Assaults) Camping overwatch is probably the only FOTM, it seems to have gone from useful.. to any teams first step..
Seeing stats from CCP on kills/usage would be welcome

Mostly agree with you Cuse man though my pc experience is vastly inferior to yours but what I have seen is about the same, certainly in pubs too.
I would say however that balancing from the top down, from what the absolute best players can do down is a preferable choice if you want competitive gameplay.
As far as I know this is how most other popular pvp games do it. Of course stats, the feels and everything else comes into it.

I'm interested in this as well. While breakin can make claims that general usage and kill statistics (as a whole) are more useful, I find this hard to believe given the unbalanced nature of a pub before you even go into a battle. Pubs give you data, but it doesn't always point in the right direction. At least, I can't imagine it would.
I'd be interested in seeing PC data for usage, kills, hacks, ect. And compare these with who won or loss and how close the battle was. PC teams fight against one another on more even terms. If something is OP or UP, PC data will give you a clearer picture of that. |

If I were guessing based on recent experience, ARR, SG, HMG, ACR in roughly that order, with AScR catching up. BSMG and BP almost the only sidearms outside of NKs on the Minjas.

I'd say (in no particular oder) ARR, ACR, FG, SG, AHMG, HMG as far as sidearms likely the NK, BSMG, SMG, BP, Flaylock. I would like to see how huge or small the margin of use is between the weapons. |
