Hi.
I my opinion we need more commands, many more.
Also we need commands that everyone can use not just squad leaders; plus if you don't have and headset it is very useful.
Here's a list of what we could have (I will add your suggestions)
- I need ammo...ammo icon appears over your head and you are highlighted in the same way on the map.
- I need to be healed...a cross appears over your head and you are highlighted in the same way on the map.
- I need a repair for my vehicle...your vehicles is marked on the map with a wrench.
- Enemy sighted (highlight zone)...debatable.
- I need a (type of vehicle) to pick me up.
- Suppressing fire...debatable.
- Follow me.
- Negative/Affirmative
- Attacking/Hack (name of objective)
- Thanks/Sorry...debatable.
- Abort/cancel.
We already have a command wheel but as it is now it's not very functional nor quick.
I suggest we use one of the directional button to bring out a command wheel and use the right stick to navigate it, we could not move but at least is something. |

Defiantly something that'll be needed for platoon COs will be a clear and concise command structure, should be interesting to see CCP pull it off, adding notification tags for the grunts on the ground would make logistics helluva a lot easier too, deffo a plus one from me here. |

Is there arrows on the D-Pad that aren't used at the moment ?
up => player list
down => map
right => vehicles
I guess left could give a list of basic voice comm.

One button dedicated to player's list is a waste IMO: player's list coudl easily go in the Select/Start menu.
We would so have a button to in the future for cloaking/jetpacks, spot & mark, etc... |

This is not BF3 its not tribes its EVE's Dust 514 the ammount of commands you would need in order to even give the basic items would mandate that you have a keyboard hooked up to your PS3 in order to have enough keys for them all.That or your going to lose functionality else where. Asking for ammo requesting medic blah blah blah 90% of that is going to be said over VIOP. Look at your list so far 11 basic commands you want added its not feseable in a game as complex as Dust will become. The only thing we have seen so far is your basic CoD or BF what ever style combat and we havnt even scratched the surface of the modules the fittings cloaks ECM propulsion mods Artilery autocannos lasers orbital strike STS *Surface to Space* weapons a player run economy. You think that the guns and modules that we have now will be automaticly seeded in game for us to just buy!!! Ohh no your going to have *points up* those wonderful eve players build your HMG or that Swarmer launcher and place them on the market for us to purchase. This game goes so far beyond anything thats has been or is now that it would blow your mind to comprehend all that CCP is trying to accomplish!!!!! |

I used BF 3 and Tribes that example to prove that other FPS did it and so it's feasible.
In fact with a wheel menu is absolutely possible to implement at least 9 of those commands.
Alos what role items/fitting have in this discussion?
Really I fear you mistook Commands here for "hot keys": I am talking about orders, squad commands & communication. |

We need more Squad Command ASAP.
We need to have non verbal ways to communicate with our teammates.
I know headsets are better but only a small percentage of players will use them: this should encourage teamwork and make it easier. |

There is a Team and Squad Chat function. Press select and you can type. But no one really looks at that. |

Typing takes time, no matter how fast you are.
With a command wheel like the one we have for weapons it would be quick and easy. |
