You don't pull out officer when you're stomping. That's a dickhead move. It gets boring for other players to sit in the redline waiting for the battle to end to get isk

yeah think i saw you guys having a bit of a stomp today, good for you.

Personally all the matches i played today were one sided stomps that weren't fun to play even on the winning side, I've decided I'm gunna run full proto and lose as many ADS as i feel like till i run out of isk, solo pub matches just aren't fun anymore and so few ppl are enjoyable to squad with, its either far too serious or constant bitching.

I think we may have to wander around the skirmish matches, they're alot more interesting than single objective maps. Variety is the spice of life etc.

We didn't "pull out officer gear" while stomping. We STOMPED from BEGINING to end all 7 matches.

Ok then stop the officer when you will clearly win using std gear

And why would they do that?

it makes the game more fun for everyone. What fun is it to just stomp and have no competition and sit on your ass killing when you can have a nice, competitive game where both sides try for the point and get kills? Do you rather just kill them and stomp them so hard the only people who will try leave and have redline snipers and goofballs at the end? Or do you want a competitive match where both sides are pushing and you can really test your skills and enjoy the game?

Note- sorry to brag about it. It was just so much fun and it was awesome and we made so much isk. If you wanna hate, go ahead, if you wanna compliment, go ahead. If you wanna tag along next time, just post when and what you will run. We (pancake, Thelos and I) play after downtime. Like, right after downtime.

OFFICER STOMPED FOR 7 MATCHES IN A ROW.

The results? Top 5 in leader boards we won all 7 matches ON A ROW (well 6 for me had to leave midway)

But what I noticed was big. Every battle, people started leaving because of us. Which was great. More and more stomp.

My favorite battle was the last one. The enemy team was heavily proto stomping but we FU**** them up so badly we cleared the objective and redlined them so fast god I swear they were scared to hell. They also had a bit of officer stuff.

Anyway, I noticed that people really don't like to put up a fight. Once they see competion, they give up and run cheap gear, which is 3 stomped to hell like no other has done, or they left battles. And tbh I don't think this can be fixed. The last battle were full of proto stompers. What do they do when they see 2 guys running full officer? They back out. And just a side note, they were better than us and stuff. So yeah, only way to actually fix this is but making people want to stay in battles.

Pancake- logibro, Luis combat rifle, solar flay lock pistol, lost a logibro and Luis

Thelos- cant remember. Actually don't think he did run officer

ME- Rattati, Scotsman, kalante balac krin, Alex hmg, bons, kubo ion pistol. Lost 2 Scotsman 2 bons, 1 Rattati/balac/kalante 4 krins 4 kubos.

Don't get me wrong. The goal is to strive to run higher tier gear but when I see someone running officer gear in ambush I'm like really? I hoard that type of gear for PC. But hey to each his own.

See that would be the case for me but when I play, there's no FW, I only get put in domination, rarely any skrim/ambush/acquisition and o don't do PC cuz not enough members. And what other way to practice for future PC or so than to use them when o can?

What if they don't use it? They are just gonna sell it and it's a rinse and repeat. Or they will use it and stomp more.

While it's certainly your prerogative to run whatever gear you'd like, I don't think it's fair to say that "the player base lacks a competitive spirit" while you are running gear that is designed to be overpowered while using the most powerful tactic in DUST - teamwork. To be honest, you four would probably equal to eight other player in gear difference alone. Coupled with individual player skill, the average pub match would be unbalanced even if both teams were full.

I'm all for increasing the level of competition in DUST, but I wouldn't expect anyone to burn proto when going against Kalente ARs, Viktor Laser rifles, and so on. It's just a different league of power, which gets multiplied in a squad.

And we're no where near some of the best players. Did you not read about the last match? The proto stompers? They didn't want to LOose isk. They stopped trying.

Actually they didn't... they even redlined us at some point during that match.
