Hey ccp,
Here is an idea for you. Not saying its a good idea
Since tanks always seem to destroy the supply depots leaving none left on the battlefield for players to use, why not make a portable supply depot Nanohive that allows like 3 uses and can only hold 2 max. Giving 25 points per use.
I would really love to see that, its been hard finding supply depots before they get destroyed or when you need them they are already blown up.
Bad idea? Good idea? heck i dont know any feedback?

Just a random idea, but I would like to be able to call turrets, CRUs or supply depots in certain locations, just like when you call a vehicle. Of course, people shouldnt be able to call them every time whenever they want, so it could work as an orbital strike; when you have certain WP (like 1000), you can call one of those.
So, if you call a turret, every kill or vehicle/installation destroyed with it will give to you x% of the wp the player using it got.
The CRU and the suply depot, every time someone uses them, you will get 25 wp.
Its a random idea of course, but this could give more room for new estrategies and possibilities. (of course, it would need a lot more of work) |

I think the ability to call in installations was planned, but scrapped/not implemented, given it's inclusion in the off map support menu.

While I do want to be able to change fits if the Supply Depots on the field are destroyed, which often means either dying or a very long and slow trek back to ground base, I'm not sure that a portable Depot is the way to solve that. Fortifying an objective with Nanohives is already common, so non-Triage Hives would simply be replaced with Depot Hives, still replenishing ammo but also allowing quick swaps to and from Logi or Heavy as needed to defend against any push.
There's also the fact that a Depot Hive would the equivalent of CoD's One Man Army perk; Fit all non-Sentinel loadouts with a Depot Hive and you can, effectively, swap fits on the fly in virtually any situation. Nanohives become obsolete as you get all your ammo, and equipment, back when you switch fits. Rooftop campers armed with MDs and PLCs would have a field day, since the Depot Hive would better than a Nanohive, since Depot Hives would be self replenishing when you swap fits and it would give them all their ammo near instantly.
