Can anyone tell me how it is possible to earn over 7000 WP in one domination match without destroying hardly any vehicles and installations and without any kills??? (cause I just saw a guy do that, and 3 others who got 3000-5000 WP each) |

Ive had 4k points just running and doing the cover fire while I revive and rep a guy on the 4 point dom map with the tabletop and and single objective when its done inside a crate(the four giant towers and the table)

Not SP... WP. The battle was practically non-existent (only one enemy killed on their side, virtually no battle what so ever so no healing, etc.)... What's the explanation??? |

Links, double reps behind good shots armor tanked suits, and rep hives. Then, it depends on how many enemies the two repped guys killed and how much damage they took. But, yes, it's definitely possible. I guess it was the lag facility, wasn't it?

Please read... there was virtually no firing by either team and virtually no deaths... only a whole ton of major shield destroying Warbarge Strikes. |

Nope. See above post. The map I was Domination on the bridge map. Beginning of the match (150 remaining vs 150 remaining) I flew over to the enemy buildings and dropped links. Got back in and on my way back, a Major Warbarge Flux Strike came down in the center of the bridge. The remaining clone count at that time was 147 vs 149.

no the team was try to take the alpha point in the supplies, i think you undestand the map, now that laggin, he repair 2 heavies and other player in that little place, and in that period, the flux ob stryke doesnt exist.

Right now, I've filed ticket with a very detailed explanation about what happened in the match, what time it was, the map, pretty much everything. One thing I can tell you as well that was very peculiar was that it wasn't boosting like we've seen in the past (I initially thought that as well and started hunting down teammates to find the enemy). They (the suspected 4 players on the enemy team) were all grouped up in their redline ground spawn at the supply depot. No line of sight for either side.
Very odd. I really wish I could have recorded it.
(If I ever get a capture card too however, you better believe I would record every match.  )

The map was Spine Crescent, Domination. For me, the strikes all happened on the bridge. However, there were no friendly or enemy vehicles on the bridge that were grouped up that I could see. Also, these were all Major Flux Strikes, not Minor ones.

Oh, well then that makes it all come together.
Someone with an SSD gets in the match first, lays out quick uplinks, gets the flux strike onto some lavs and endless WP.

But that's the thing, I was one of the first ones out there with my Gorgon. Laid down uplinks on their roof, and went to lay down uplinks on my roof. There was very little fighting going on and then, all of a sudden, a Major Flux came down on the center of the bridge on top of the objective. There was probably 1 LAV on the bridge at the time and I think it was an enemy LAV (friendly for them).
Now that I think about it, I can't remember the exact time. It felt like 30 seconds, but it could have been a minute or two. I have trouble judging time anyways. However, one concrete fact I do remember was the clone counts when the Flux dropped. It was 147 remaining on their side and 149 remaining our side. I was really skeptically about how fast they dropped it and checked the score, which lead to my initial thought of boosting happening. Person in first was 1200+ WP with 0/0. Second person had 1100+ WP with 0/0.
I've also put in a ticket about this too.

As an ex booster myself I know a couple of ways but nothing that can get over 5000k at best. Personally I think it was a good match, I managed to archive just under 6000 the other day in a amarr logi, with constant spawns and repping a pro heavy .

I played a match like the OP mentioned but was on the loosing side , I kept dying because I believed that we were going to win and we had the numbers ( I will not forget that match ) .. we had them outnumbered by 4 and I couldn't understand why we couldn't hold the point , so the last time I died I took a DS and made a run and found four players in a corner using grenades and explosives all the while repairing each other .
Then I became mad as all hell , looked on the leaderboard and noticed all 4 atop with no kills and definitely no effort against the enemy , also I couldn't figure out why the enemy didn't come over and dead them but I guess that they posed no threat so they just didn't bother .
Either that or some saw what they were doing and just decided to leave them alone , I hate to assume but I know that match .. they were at the top with zero effort and I just couldn't believe my eyes .
It can be done without engaging the enemy .
This game has a ton of exploits that only a few probably know because I have never noticed anything like that before and ever since then , when things get shaky ... I take a DS on a fly by just to see if it's happening again .
Probably why we can't get vehicle repair damage WP's for repairing vehicles .

Granted my 7k wasn't super impressive or anything.
Thw guys in my squad (especially the AV guy) were what really made the match what it was.
Domination is prolonged when you can constantly flip the point. The more time in a match, the more possible points you can aquire.
This is the main flaw in the system, as it is impossible to get 7k+ in a 10 minute game, yet it is easy to do it in 25 minutes. It's just hard to create the optimal conditions where both teams are competitive so that you can get enough triage points from user error (taking more damage)
So basically the worse your team is doing, the better the logi will do. A logi on the side that is stomping will barely get anything. Both teams have to be killing each other a lot, and back then you could drop orbitals all the time which gave even more points.

Squad of 3 over 16,000 wp
My personal logi record on wp is 9740 going 0 kills and 2 deaths and my personal wp record using heavy is 7230 going 79 / 8.
If you watch and view the entire video you will see just how effect a single squad of three players can be.

Kaze I suggest you test some things like
Taking friendly damage then switching suits
To see if a logi gets points for the reps after the suit change
Try both rep tool and nano
and try every tier of equipment from regular to loyalty
Since these guys were at the supply depot the whole time I'm fairly sure it's has something to do with suit swapping

@OP : We call this boosting. If there wasn't any fight, then some players were shooting each other's tank somewhere in the side of the map farming WP (=SP).

Seen it done... 4 guys que against each other go to an isolated side of the map with logis take turns shooting and repping each other ... Double reps on two guys being shot. You will find them with jeeps which they will flux strike for even more points.
Since it's a Dom map nobody even notices spme guys off in the boondocks doing nothing... They think

Person in first was 1200+ WP with 0/0. Second person had 1100+ WP with 0/0. I've also put in a ticket about this too.

If you ever suspect boosting take a pic and send in a ticket. They will look into it. They have ways of finding out if people are boosting I hear.

Back in the day, with gallente advanced logi....
Drop uplinks, change suit...
Drop nanohives, change suit....
Change to mass driver + nanohives fit...
Fly up high above enemy and rain it down....
Got around 15,000 to 18,000 war points.
My very best was 24,000 war points.
This is normal without any boosters.
That all ended after some patch that changed wp formulas.
Point of this post is, war points used to be much higher in the past. |
