They need to have progressively lower scan profiles so that not every prototype uplink gets lit up by a standard scanner and make one uplink or introduce a new variant that is even lower than the rest of it's tier. |

Ehh, I'm fine with it. We already reduced the profile of it so un "SP'd" suits can see them too well and increased their HP. Honestly I'd love to do away with uplinks all together, introduce a similar function that's more easily balanced and reuse the uplink asset for something else.
This game will never be balanced as long as you have these unlimited Frisbee things everywhere on the map. Like jeez.

what if uplinks remained but where altered;
when the uplink is placed on a merc in fittings the merc becomes the uplink when the merc dies the uplink is out until the player is in again basically team-mates spawn on the merc. they can choose to spawn on other team mates who have the same equipment or at a default position.
this prevents rooftop camping e.g right now u can place an uplink and leave it but with the new altered uplinks the merc would have to remain up high for the team-mates to spawn if the merc dies they can no longer spawn there.
this could also prevent lag in some game fields as equipment creates lag, as there is less equipment.
after a specific amount of spawns the equipment would go into a cooldown phase e.g if 15 spawns are exceeded it cools down for 2 mins and after that another 15 starts if player is not killed.
pretty much like the dropship uplinks

The equipment buff wasn't needed I'll agree with that but uplinks provide a whole new tactical advantage for both defensive and offensive engagements that other games just don't have.

I don't care what they do with them as long as they make it so that it does not take a almost a full minute.

Repeat process 3 - 4 times at various lengths.
Sigh...... I give up I am spawning at the MCC.

This is totally in-line with some of guys in the movement of making uplinks a "backpack" if you will instead if deployed equipment.
I'm all for it.

I'm all for it. Would the uplink be active? Their should be away to turn it off so if your getting mobbed you don't end up getting anyone who spawns instakilled. Personally I think it should have cloak mechanics where you can activate and deactivate at will while in your hand but cannot reactivate once half the activation time is exceeded. |
